Dollar General, Mt Ayr IA

Were completely new to town and needed to pick up some supplies as we hadn't been able to get unpacked. We entered the store where the people were friendly and helpful. We got what we needed and I have now downloaded the app to save money with their online coupons.

The serive is ok the the store is in disarray. Product is in carts in every aisle. I do see one of the employees.a young girl trying to put product away.the manager is always in the office eating.

They had everything I needed and the staff was very friendly and helped me locate a few items I was looking for.

Went to buy some craft paint to paint an N for my daughters bedroom. Couldn't find it, asked a lady, was pointed In the right direction, but still didn't find it. Asked another employee and was taken and showed where it was. Got what we needed and went to get in the car and there was a LARGEish spider on the other side of the car. I told my daughter to try to buckle up and I would go in and buy a fly swatter to take care of the intruder. I went in and asked where I could find a fly swatter and she pointed straight ahead and said "there. " I went down the isle not far and found 3 for $1 (yay) I went and checked out and was told my total was $0.54. I was thrilled and said I thought it was $1, she said certain dots were 1/2 off. So double yay! And they worked wonders for the spider.

This was my first trip to this particular Dollar General. It was very impressive. I went in looking for a couple items I didn't expect to find, but did. They have an extensive selection of digestive aids, eye care, vitamins etc. The second item I wanted was McCabe coffee. I've never seen it at the DG closest to my place in Arizona. Pleasantly surprised, not only did they have it, it was on sale.

The staff was friendly and the store clean, while busy it wasn't crowded.

I'll enjoy shopping here in the future.

This Dollar General is a nice find.

This is the only store of this kind in our town. The ONLY problem i have there is that i am unable to buy some of the cute clothes for myself or get my adult son any of the clothes bc they dont sell our sizes. And some of the ones that SAY are our sizes aren't really our sizes. Other than that, our Dollar General Store is pretty much fantastic. Very polite people that work there. If they dont have something, they will try to get it. They're great.

Unloading truck when I went so isles were packed full of various things. Getting ready to close for 5 days for remodeling purposes.

It is extremely cramped and the aisles can be impossible to navigate down, but the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful and truly make it worth it to shop here!

Good selection of goods at a decent price. Staff was very nice and helpful. This is one of the nicest well kept dollar generals I have been to.
