The owner, I assumed, was sooo nice and friendly and their donuts are delicious! Glaze donut is my go-to and they did not disappoint. Yummy donuts! I kept buying more than I can eat, but so worth it!

The snowball filled donuts are a favorite for sure, if you are around the rose donuts are also amazing. If you like apple, the fritters are sure to satisfy. To top it all off the staff are wonderful and thought I wouldn't notice the extra few donut holes ;) thanks again for being a part of my life for 20+ years

I take my kiddo here once a week and it's become a fun family tradition. The owner is so friendly and good to kids, and the donuts are the best in town. HIGHLY recommend!

If you haven't had their donuts you need to try them. If you don't think they are the best in town, you are wrong.

Me and my mom have been rating all the different donut shops in town and Donut Hut is hands down the best when it comes to prices, customer service, selection, and taste!

Decent donuts. The filled ones had little filling for the size of the donuts. The oreo on the oreo donut was like chocolate cake no crisp or cruch, it still tasted ok.

The pastries are fantastic but this location had a bad habit of closing early during normal work hours. Open til 4: 30pm? Nah.

I have enjoyed this place for a very long time! Every time I come back to town this is one of my top stops for sure! Everyone is so kind even when we are the first ones there after a night out. Thank you and I am so happy your business is doing well!

Love to stop anytime I go buy here in the morning. Just wish their toasted coconut had more glaze.

The donuts here are great, it's locally owned and operated. Don't expect much for coffee but their service is unmatched. Incredibly nice people that I personally love supporting.

Our usual bakery was closed and my daughter was crushed so I looked up the next closet one and we will definitely be back! The owner was extremely nice and the place was clean. Donuts were fresh and delicious.

This place makes the best donuts in Iowa. Highly recommended to stop at. The guy running the store is an absolute gem. This place has been running for a few decades. And still has the best quality donuts in town. All his sweets are amazing.

Donut Hut's donuts are my family's absolute favorite in the Des Moines area. The cherry and blueberry cake donuts are among our favorite, along with the apple fritters. We've never tried anything we didn't like, but even if we had, I know it would be made right because of their excellent customer service. Honestly, even if they had mediocre donuts, being greeted by Al, the owner would make the visits worth it. He greets everyone with a huge smile and treats them like a regular. When my kids come in with me, they're promptly given a free donut hole. This place is a gem. Keep it up, Al!
