Love all of the parks here in Iowa. Big or small they all offer a great insight into history, nature, or a quiet respite from every day business as usual. Great hiking and sites to see here. Spent some time tromping the trails and bird watching. Well worth your time to stop and check out the sites and sounds.

Beautiful park, great trout fishing, a great place to take family to camp and explore the great outdoors!

We enjoyed our spring visit with lots of wild flowers to be discovered in the quiet setting. The lack of a restroom may keep your stay short.

Quiet park, with several miles of trail following both the Otter and Glover streams that feature trout fishing. Very picturesque. Few amenities, but several shelters built by the CCC.

One of my favorite trails to visit in northeast Iowa! Pet-friendly, beautiful views, and lots of wildlife. Well-groomed trail that is perfect for all skill levels. A few different off-shoots of trails as well that make it great for those who want a little more incline. They also have a small petting zoo in the middle of the trail. Great for kids and adults alike! Also good for walking in the winter time.

What a great way to go back in time. Fun for the entire family. Best for children ages under 13.

What an absolutely beautiful park! Not only is it really fun to cross over the water bridge in your vehicle but the towering trees are gorgeous, creeks winding through with plenty of fish, very quiet when we were here. There are also some shelters, outhouses and many different trails to explore, as well as various tucked-away fishing trails. We ate the rainbow trout we caught, was delicious! This park is in my top 3!

This place was beautiful! The trails are so nice. We took the scenic Backbone trail, and it was fantastic. The trails and surrounding areas are pretty clean - not much trash. There was a Pavillion type set up on the land that was pretty clean with a fireplace and several picnic tables. It would be great for a family gathering. Near the Pavillion I found a potential arrowhead as well, which was exciting! We will definitely be back to hike more and do some trout fishing soon!

We go here often! We love the hiking trail its very flat and easy going but goes on a very long time. I also love that late spring every year is basically turns into a giant butterfly garden! And this year there are chickens on the trail but in years past there has been all kinds of friendly animals that live half way on the trail. Definitely a hidden gem!

Has a nice trail to go for a walk on or even a jog. There is another trail but not for young ones and it looks like an off trail but it's actually not. I've more stuck to the main trail myself. There's an area on trail where sometimes there r animals out there but everytime I go I never see them.

Not a fan of how they recently made a walking trail that butts right up to the public hunting. That is super unsafe and makes the hunting much more difficult.
