Elmquist Towing Co.was recommended by our mechanic. When our car battery died last evening I called Elmquist. They scheduled a tow truck for us first thing this morning and sent an efficient and kind attendant to aid us. Within minutes he had our car humming along, not needing to be towed after all. Our sincere thanks to TJ at Elmquist.

Update, a week later and 5 attempts for a receipt, have had to open a dispute with Capital One.customer service here seems to be lacking which sucks cuz the tow operator was very good to me.elmquist saved me! Had to be towed from Slater to huxley. $250 but it was 9pm in the bitter cold.driver TJ was very helpful, professional, friendly, and caring.

Gabe came to my rescue today in neg -30 plus temps when I got stranded outside of Ames he very friendly helpful and very understanding they should give this guy a raise and for sure give him recognition for his work ethic and customer service employee of the month really thank you so much elmquest/ Gabe a true life saver.

Gabe was AMAZING today, and he battled the freezing temps with positive energy! Not only did he provide quality customer service once but twice today! You never want to see a tow truck, but Elmquist Towing made this situation easier to handle today. Definitely in my contacts for future use (hopefully not) and will certainly be recommending them to anyone in the Ames area! Thank you for your services!

Amazing team they came to my location fast and took time hooking up my semi with care in mind and over looked all areas of load secument before leaving to ensure my truck was in good care and commucated with me the whole time to make sure I was comfortable with the way things were going and took pictures before and after to show my truck wasn't damaged thanks a million time over for the great work

We have been searching high and low for a repair facility. After trying several in the area, we found our way to Scott. He was amazing! We thought we knew what the issue was after being told by two different mechanics. To only find out it wasn't. Because of Scott's knowledge and thorough diagnosis. He fixed our vehicle right the first time! Thank you for fixing our vehicle, and we will be back!

We had just started our treck from MN to TX when our car hauler trailer tire lost the majority of its tread. UHAUL coordinated for Elmquist to come help. They arrived well before the estimated time. Tj was very kind and helped us unhook our vehicle when removing from the trailer and hooked it back up when finished. He was very quick about changing out the tire and helped ensure all tires had the right air pressure. Highly recommend them if you are in this area.

Let them in my lot when they showed up after hours and loaded them then they failed to pay their bill. Tow truck driver was very disrespectful.

I got my vehicle back from the mechanic & was driving approx 100 miles from home. My check engine lights came on & I immediately pulled over at the Elkhart rest area & called my mechanic. He suggested not driving it & having it towed home. My insurance company checked for the best deal to have my truck towed & came up with Elmquist’s. Tayilom came to rescue me & my little dog. He was super friendly & very knowledgeable about his job! He deserves to be paid well as he does a great job! He was even willing to sit there, until my ride came to get me, so I would not be alone at the rest area! Thank you very much!:)

Run! If they can get you over a barrel they will! They will even charge you for charging you!

Went to retrieve my car that was taken from a spot with no signs saying it would be towed. Went in and the lady at the front desk was instantly rude as a lot of other reviews state. She then told me to "shut up" as I was asking a question. She then pushed me out of the building, as I opened the door go ask her name another guy who also wouldn't say his name grabbed me and pushed me almost to the ground. The manager finally came out after I had called the cops for assaulting Me and he defended his employees actions.

I was in the middle of nowhere and called for assistance because I locked my keys in my car. They had someone out here in 15 minutes and got my keys out within 5. Fast response and great customer service!

Not the drive home I expected yesterday but Elmquist was on it and had me back on my way in literally minutes! My tow truck driver was soooo kind and personable! Literally 10 stars instead of 5!

I have to assume that they are very busy. I had to have a car towed a few months back and they weren't able to get to it for awhile. Ended up using a different company. They are in very high demand because they're so good at what they do. But today I needed another tow that I wasn't able to be present for and they got right on it. It wasn't afternoon yet so perhaps they hadn't had much business yet. Don't even get me started on Lisa, that sweet lady is a ray of sunshine. Chris, who towed my car today, had great communication and kept me updated the whole way through. I think it was another man who took down my information for the first call but he was friendly as well.
Only dropped 1 star because they are so busy.

I park in a private garage in a reserved spot and called a tow to regain access to my reserved spot. I called these guys and they were very vague over the phone. I waited an hour and called back to ask for an update; they said I was next on their list. I waited another hour, no word from them at all. I called them several times only to be sent to voicemail and completely ignored. This is not a company I will ever choose to deal with again and I don’t recommend doing so to anyone. Horrible service from every angle.

I had such a great experience with this company. From the moment I called to my car arriving, everything was perfect. Dispatch was friendly and was able to answer all my questions. The tow truck driver called me to make sure he delivered it to the right spot. Highly recommend
