I love the drs but the office manager and some of the front desk are unbelievably rude. When a billing concern came up I was completely degraded by the office manager when I stated I didn’t know about a part of the exam done for my daughters contacts as I do not need them. I told her the extra $50 I was not expecting is something that should be voiced before the appointment as I am on a single income and budgeting is key. That extra threw off the payment of my bills. I was talked down to as though because I shared my financial concerns I was less then and talked to like I am stupid. I will never be returning. If you need any type of heads up due to your financial standing do NOT visit this office. I’ve never been treated this way by a “professional”.

We love this office! All the staff is kind, friendly, caring and helpful when we visit or call. Dr. Neighbors is the best!

Dr. Schroder Always does a great job on my exam. Today he help me with the right lenses for Golfing! Always Knowledgeable!

I called the Ankeny office yesterday with a sudden onset of blurred vision. Dr. Schroeder knew of my cancer history and performed the appropriate tests. The support staff are skilled and the entire team provides care and compassion. My family have been patients since 1988 with no plans to change! JMc

The best place! Been coming here for years. Tremendous help for my husband’s eyes and mine. Wonderful staff. Gets your bifocals done right the first time. They help you pick out the perfect frames. Exceptional service. Highly recommend.

I have always felt this office had quality staff and doctors. They are very polite and professional. But this weekend solidified that I will be a forever client. Dr Schroder goes above and beyond for his patients. I called the office because I thought I was experiencing a retinal detachment. Very scary! I called the after hour number for emergencies and Dr. Schroder called me back promptly and met me and my husband on Thanksgiving day at 7: 00 am! It was clear that the health of my eye was his priority. He did not rush the exam at all! He even told me to call back any time over the holiday-if I notice any changes in my vision. If you are looking for professionals who really care, this is the place.

Unhappy with the office staff, was told to come in at 4 to have glasses checked and to see the dr. Once there and after glasses checked was told I couldn't see the dr w/out an appt. I waited all day before I was leaving town for few weeks. I called after leaving the office and was told it was unfortunate that the employee there told me to come in but w/out an appt I couldn't be seen. She said she overheard my issue when glasses checked. After challenging me back and forth she finally setup an appt for me for 50 minutes later, but I was to embarrassed to come in. The message I took away is that office policy trumps the patients need no matter what I was told on the phone. Disappointed and won't return even if the dr.is good.

Hands down the best office support staff in Ankeny. From the front desk to the optometry assistants to the specialists in the eyeglass section, each one I’ve encountered has gone over and beyond in making my experience easy and enjoyable. The Doctors are great, but the support staff are who make this clinic my forever go to for me and my family? ️?

The Eye Care associate team is extremely professional and handle my entire family’s eye care. The service and expertise is off the charts!
