Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cedar Rapids

I'm not impressed at all. The shower was not clean! Soap scum all over and dirty floors. We will not be back.

Nice hotel, lovely staff and the building was beautiful. Pillows are nice and soft too. I loved having the Pool and Jacuzzi available, though i didn't really like the fact they shut that down at 2300. Seemed a bit silky given it already required key access and there is no lifeguard on duty at any time. Also, the jacuzzi jets are so weak they may as well not work at all, so y'all may want to get that fixed of you're reading these lol.
Overall, I really love the joint, and it's the second time my family has stayed. I would recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in Cedar Rapids.:)

This hotel is really really outdated. The king suite had a 30 inch tv, every machine at the fitness center is covered in rust and clanking, and the alarm clocks are from 2004. Go anywhere else

Prime location. Quiet, clean rooms; helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable staff; great breakfast!

Front desk staff was 10/10, going above and beyond to get us a room before check-in time. Shout out to Delilah, she was so accommodating and personable!

Our two-queen room smelled so fresh when we walked in, and beds were so plush and cozy!

The pool and spa temps were perfect, my kids had a great time squeezing a swim into our stay.

Finally, breakfast was wonderful. They serve a wide array options, leaving my family happily full for our drive home.

I can't rave enough on this hotel, we will definitely stay again.

If I had to choose, I wouldn't stay here ever again.

We arrived around 9 pm & the bathroom smells strongly of pee. The bathtub is very slippery, there is not enough room for all three of us in the two-queen bedroom room. The person upstairs was walking around loudly throughout the night, so around 6: 30 am I went down to ask to switch to a room for us on the highest level. He told me to come back in an hour, so I did then the staff schedule switched & one of the staff ladies switched us. We were all confused because he didn't switch us when I asked.

There are only a couple items for breakfast & in the market, which was very disappointing.

I heard some of the female staff talk loudly about their drama & they were being unprofessional too.

We spent 3 nights at this property and all I can say is amazing. The entire team was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast selection was great and lots to choose from. I would definitely come back for sure. Hats off

Not a bad hotel at all. Only about 2-6 miles from restaurants and other stores. Seemed like a pretty safe location as I had no issues. The room was clean. However I must point out that the room was very small. Not a whole lot of space. It would have been nice to have a comfy chair or recliner to relax in at the end of the day, rather than utilizing the bed or desk chair. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

Being a Marriott member, I try not to be critical of Marriott locations but while the service was nice, our room needed a deep cleaning. Dirt on the floor, hair in the bath tub etc

It looks as the staff does bare minimum to clean each room.

The hair dryer in the room was disgusting with sticky substance and hair. Had to use a towel to pick it up. It needed to be thrown away and replaced.

While I won't be staying here again while passing through, I encourage the hotel to focus on more detailed cleaning.

Got the feeling the young lady checking me in was annoyed she had to do it. Chip reader for credit cards was broke and she was "snippy" on how to get my payment made. Said she had worked 14 hours straight so not her fault entirely, didnt direct me to elevators or anything you normally get from a good property.
Room was "sketchy" light bulbs out, door had a huge gap at the bottom and needs repair.
Just didnt enjoy my experience, you get what you pay for I guess.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean, but the best part was Candace at the front desk. She was so helpful, welcoming and quick at getting me checked in to my room. I forgot my key in my room and she happily made me a new one. She made a good stay and great one!

Very disappointed with this one. The rooms were dirty and the grounds were not well kept. They charged me $100 pet fee, yet the grounds had dog poo everywhere.

One night stay, visiting relatives in Cedar Rapids. Was a very hot day A/C worked great, room was outstanding!

My bf stayed here. I am a supervisor at a Marriott in Kansas City, Customer service is a top priority! The roomed smelled like mildew and urine. The "hotel manager" Gloria was rude and not very accommodating when I called about the refund of the deposit. She insisted to call my job since she demanded he shouldnt use my discount, at my rate which is a lie! She yelled over the phone and was very rude. I will be contacting Corporate to get the situation handled immediately!

I will say I liked how it had a fridge in the room and the body wash, shampoo and conditioner that I had provided in my room was great. But……… I’m not so impressed with the cleanliness? I noticed a nice sized orange stain right on my pillow.thought that was kinda gross. Then I took a shower that night and had to wash off someone else’s shaved hair from the shelves in the shower… also kinda gross. Please note the date in which this review was written. I understand that lots are overworked and understaffed but what’s most important to me is cleanliness.other than those odd things, the place was nice!

Great stay! Clean facilities and plenty of amenities. I travel around Iowa a lot and Fairfield I usually my go to when booking hotels.

Spent a quick one night stay here after flying to Cedar Rapids and before I drove on to my destination. It's your average Fairfield hotel with nothing too special on offer. Rooms are big enough and bed is comfy enough.

Overall great stay. Some construction on nearby street. Map software, gave misleading directions to entrance. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

We were there for a church function, when I originally attempted to check in online there was a problem. When i arrived at the hotel they hadn't cleaned the room so there was another wait. Got checked in the room was nice the TV didn't work. After several attempts to change out the remotes the maintenance personal had to be called. The manager was very accommodating even started she would have changed our room. That is good customer service. The breakfast they had variety that was ok, no soy milk, no meat selection. The scones were hard as well as the chocolate muffins. Marriott hotel does well at keeping thing quality and this was good, I will go back.
