Super place to go. Welcomed and seated quickly and had Lorrie (spell?) as our server. Was great. So many great options on the menu, but I focus on the steak salad and carrot cake for dessert. Wonderful evening at Fire Creek.

They were able to accumulate our party of 9 for a nice lunch on a Saturday. Service was great. Food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the food they ordered. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch and we will definitely need to go back for their dinner menu also.

Great food. A bit on the crowded side, we had a group of 14 at a table for 10 or 12. Staff was friendly but very busy. Steaks were worth the squeeze.

Hands down. The Best service, the food was excellent, just wow, finally an established restaurant that cares about quality for a fair price. This was my first visit but will not be my last, magnificent, good job Fire Creek, good job!

Pleasantly surprised with our first visit. Restaurant has different sections and depending on where you're seated can impact the atmosphere but overall a welcoming place with quality drink options and appetizers. Our main dishes of steak and prime rib were well prepared along with our sides. Menu includes chicken, steak, seafood and pasta at reasonable prices.

Excellent food, tremendous service, reasonable prices and outstanding atmosphere. They really hit the nail on the head here.

First time here and it was amazing, phenomenal service which was a great change from other sit down restaurants we have been to lately. The food was absolutley delicious, and the ambiance was perfect for a cold night. Every employee that we had interactions with were exceptionally nice and always smiling. Never had to ask for refills or extras, the house salad dressing was a phenomenal recommendation and we will definitely make this a regular stop from now on. Great Job and thank you to all the staff for a great experience.

Went here for a birthday celebration with my mother-in-law. Some of the apps were very good. Fried calamari was a little cold when it came out. Prime rib was ok. It had good flavor and the portion was huge.but it was a little tough for prime rib. It had more of a ham mouth feel.

You need to post your menu prices, not just some but all, you must be expensive, I spend about $150.00 for dinner, I guess not enough money for your menus.

My new go-to if I ever come back to WDM! My buddies got the prime rib and I got the Diablo shrimp pasta. Priced just right and cooked to excellence.

Service was horrible worst dining experience I have had in the Des Moines area. Over priced, waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks, how food was…he totally ignored us. I had to prove to host that I had a reservation by pulling up an email the restaurant sent me prior to coming. Horrible experience and food was over cooked and cold!

I was in the area visiting my Insurance Office and was recommended to this place when I asked for a place to get something to eat. They shared (showed) me the Wrap and French Fries they had just gotten from the place, it looked Delicious even with half of it gone, LOL. I ordered Prime Rib Sandwich with Sweet Potatoe Fries, after a couple of minutes, I was told they were out of Prime Rib. I ordered another Sandwich. This was an order to go. The wait staff was more than friendly and helpful. They even gave me a couple of Chocolat Mints during my wait. The price to me was a little stiff (being on Soc Security) for my budget $12-15. I gave a dollar to my Waitress and a dollar to the Chef. I may go back if I am in the area, it was delicious!

Wonderful atmosphere and food. Perfect for special occasions- We recently had our rehearsal dinner here, and they were fantastic.

Absolutely my favorite, hometown restaurant. Great food, wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff and owners.

Very very busy and service was still top notch. We had the roasted chicken and Asiago chicken. For appetizers we had the wonton nachos - so yummy - we should’ve stopped there

Many things I love about Fire Creek - but some things to avoid.

They were out of the Prime Rib I came for, so I chose the Cajun Ribeye instead. The flavor of the seasoning was great - and did some heavy lifting attempting to make the steak worth the price.

I’m not sure if the meat was frozen too long, a cheap grade cut with poor marbling - or if there are issues with how it was prepared. It was extremely tough/chewy/dry despite appear close to medium rare when I first cut into it. Either way, I might recommend sticking to something else on the menu to avoid the beef jerky-esque ribeye.

Waitstaff was busy but not unacceptably slow. Waited 20 minutes for a glass of wine at one point but was great otherwise.

Shrimp Diablo pasta was great, but sea scallop add on was only 3 miniature scallops for the price.

Wine selection and drinks are great, environment and ambiance leave nothing to be desired.

As long as you’re cautious with what you order - or not very hungry after a long drive and wiling to send the food back and wait - it’s worth trying.
