Clean beautiful tanks. Awesome customer service, friendly, and helpful. Knowledgeable support with passion and excitement for aquatics. Feels a little out in the middle is nowhere, but it's awesome. Highly recommend.

Cody has a nice selection of fish and aquatic plants to purchase. The prices are reasonable, as well. The Fish Barn will be one of two places I will go to for my aquatic needs.

Easily the best fish store in the Iowa City area. Unfortunately, it's a bit out of the way but it's also going to be the only fish store my wife and I go to from now on. Huge variety of both docile and more "aggressive" fish, no poor betas in pint-sized containers (they were in actual tanks!), and really clean tanks. There were also some fish and other fish-esque creatures I've never seen before and didn't even know existed, especially in freshwater. There's also a nice variety of freshwater plants, food, treatments, etc.
Don't be turned off that this isn't downtown and that it's down a driveway.

The most unique selection of tropical fish in the area, especially cichlids. Also the best overall health I've seen at a fish shop in a long time.

The aquariums are spotless! The variety is endless. And the knowledge…. Well that’s PRICELESS!

She will take down any bad reviews. This 4.9 rating is bogus. Referring to the large dog that wouldn't let person out of car and kids walking around the property with a gun.

This is my favorite place to buy fish and fish supplies. The fish here are always healthy, and they have a good variety.

Beautiful store lots of selection and has in indoor huge pond, with a red tail cat and Oscar’s and other catfish!

Very friendly and informative about all their fish. Honest is also very decently priced. Most importantly, tho supper clean and taken care. They have the best private store in the area. The only thing that may turn someone away is her dogs, but all friendly and adorable.
