Flux Apartments, Des Moines IA

I’ve lived at the Flux for over 6 months and absolutely love it! We have an outdoor hot tub which works on snowy days, and the heated garage is a really nice feature. Not too many floors, and the walls keep the sound out from the neighbors. There’s so much to do nearby as well, especially during the summer with all the festivals and events! Gray’s Lake is a nice nearby place to walk as well. I highly recommend moving in and joining the community!

We have lived in the Flux building since it opened and have enjoyed the experience and like downtown living. The location has been very good and the amenities offered enjoyed. The current property manager, Tianna is doing a very good job and we find that she is very responsive to what we need as residents. We would recommend the building to prospective tenants. This is our second location downtown and have really enjoyed the amenities and view. Our downtown friends have also commented on what a nice building Flux is.

I recently moved into Flux and absolutely love this place. Tiana, the Building Manager, and Raul, the Maintenance guy, are both friendly and on top of things. Flux is modern and the apartments are just a few years old. I am excited to take advantage of the patios and grill areas this summer.

Have had nothing but great experiences here! Tiana the property manager cares so much about the community and is always so responsive and helpful. Great location and good value. Highly recommend!

I've been living here for almost a year and have LOVED my experience! I love the location (still convenient as it's accessible to countless amenities, restaurants, etc, but it still remains relatively quiet and friendly. Kristen, Zach, and Sara have been nothing but wonderful whenever I have questions or am in need of assistance. They're also super friendly and I enjoy just popping in every once in awhile and catching up a bit with them. They're the best!
The residents are also very friendly, at least from what my experiences have been. My dog (yay for Flux being so pet friendly!) especially loves socializing with other dogs in the building.
I've lived here almost a year and will be renewing my lease, as I've enjoyed it here so much and see no reason to move anytime soon.

From the moment I walked into the lobby I felt like I was home! Zach was more than accommodating to my schedule. And took the time to really give me a great tour! Showed me all the amenities. And once we got to the apartments I fell in love! I can’t explain what is in the air here, but it’s so calming and amazing. Thank you Zach for helping me find my first place!

My apartment is amazing and the property manager Zach is really helpful. He helped to make my move into the apartment worry free. I also want to mention the cleanliness of the entire building is top notch, and the community is amazing as everyone I saw wanted to help me move in! So excited to call Flux my new home.

I moved into Flux about a month ago. Having lived downtown I knew what I was getting into. Flux has by far been the best! The location is absolutely perfect, the Pappajohn Sculpture Park is a block away! I'm just blocks away from my favorite restaurants. Grays Lake is a quick run away. I can't say enough good things about the property! Zach and Sarah are amazing and easy to work with. Due to COVID-19 they were doing virtual tours at the time I was looking to move in. Without even seeing my unit in person, I signed my lease. I was confident that I had made a great decision and I wouldn't of done that without Zach and Sarah putting in the extra effort to make sure all my questions were answered. Thanks again Zach and Sarah!

When I was in the market for a place to live in downtown Des Moines, I looked into The Flux Apartments on Walnut Street. I have been very pleased with the location, decor and amenities. With that said, it was the property manager Zach who drew me away from the other options available. His communication and professionalism has been outstanding. The area within several blocks is getting even better, with established dinning options and new businesses that I'm excited to try.

My business partner and I stopped by to look at office space, Zack was the agent we dealt with. His level of service was outstanding, very positive energy and super informative of the space we were looking at. He answered every question we had and if it was an off the wall question we did ask that he was not sure about he text and emailed us both within an hour after we left. Needless to say we immediately decided that Onyx was the space for our company's and rent to offices the next day. Zack continued to be helpful through everything and even days after we moved in. We truly happy we moved our offices to the Onyx building!

This community is spotless and very well managed. From my initial tour with Zach, his communication and knowledge has been first rate, very helpful. My move-in process was seamless with both Zach and Sarah there and eager to help. Thank you Zach and Sarah for making what is generally a stressful time and making every effort for a positive experience!

I cannot say enough good things about Zach and the flux apartment. From the time I moved in Zach was extremely helpful and accommodating to me. He made a stressful time for me turn into an enjoyable process. I love coming back to my apartment where everyone is so friendly, the apartment is clean, and the property management do anything to ensure everything I need is always taken care of. Flux defines high quality. The facilities provide a great location to enjoy the excitement of living downtown. They also provide a peaceful place to call home as the community is very respectful.

Management truly goes out of their way to make sure all is good for you - that kind of service is hard to find.

This new building is a great option when considering to live in downtown Des Moines. It isn't overly large but that is part of the appeal. They provide just about anything you could need/want and you are right in the middle of the metro with potential great views of the city. Worth taking the tour the at least.

Beautiful, modern aesthetic and lovely management team. The amenities are sophisticated and everything I need. From my in unit washer/dryer and dishwasher to the state-of-the-art fitness room and micro pool: I am so proud that FLUX is my home. By far this place has provided me with the greatest living experience. Bonus: all the cute puppies that live in this building give me life.:)
