The showers are clean, the hot water pressure good. Tony is the most courteous, and very involved employee.

NO LONGER CHEAPEST GAS IN TOWN! I don't know what happened but they are now $0.10 - $0.20 higher than most other places. Still a pretty good place to get a coffee or soft drink but not much of a place to grab a bite to eat. There are plenty of fast food joints in the immediate area that are a much better choice. The restaurant that used to share the building with the convenience store has been closed for several years.

Wings are amazing always hot and fresh as every other food they have. Cashiers are always friendly and polite.

I AS A PROFESSIONAL TRUCK DRIVER HAVE FOUND THAT THIS ESSENTIAL TRUCK STATION IS UP AND RUNNING WHEN I CAME THREW WATERLOO IOWA AND STAYED AT THERE TRUCK STATION EVERYONE WAS WORKING HARD AND TO THE MANAGEMENT HAD COMPLETED HER DAY

Today is Wednesday, September 2,2020. TORTUGA GRANDE SCORES AGAIN.
We arrived at about 6: 00 pm local time. Flying J was not very busy. We called for assistance in purchasing some propane. The gentleman came in about 10 minutes. Scored on the propane and gassed up about $100.

You might wonder or not. Why a 5 Star rating? It's a simple explanation. We look for separate RV fuel lanes- check, Easy in Easy out- check, propane- check, RV long parking lanes with the possibility for overnight stay- check, a bit of food, coffee, sodas, pops, etc- check. Of course, the Flying J has all the other amenities, check app.

The nice part is that the very large semi-trucks are totally separate from the regular auto/RV pumps. Therefore, there are no fumes to smell or avoid.
I asked the manager if it be ok to stay overnight. She said it would fine and emphasized, not to be concerned. It would be fine to put jacks down, open slides and so forth.

Therefore, we made ourselves at home. Of course, there is going to be a certain level of noise. The semi-trucks path is not to far from the designated RV lanes. Yes, a bit of noise can be heard, so what? Free boondocking, no concerns and very courteous staff.

You can see from the photo, the jacks are down, slides are out and we are enjoying our stay. There are 5 RV lanes and we are the only one here so far at about 8: 34 pm local time.

The temperature when we arrived was about mid 70s to high 70s. The evening cool down to mid 60s, great.

Finally, there are several restaurants very near by, McDonald's is right across the street. Oh well, Enjoy your travels. Always, leave it better than what you found it.

The Worst Employees we’ve ever experienced in a Flying J! I was in the restroom washing my hands about 9: 00 at night when a man stormed in, rushed pass me slinging open & slamming the stall doors. I assumed it was an angry driver looking for someone or something. When I came out, I passed that same guy with a cleaning bottle. I was waiting in line to buy a bottle of water, when that same guy jumped in front of me after standing & waiting while 3 women behind the counter talked & didn’t bother to open another register, but when they did, this “worker” jumps in front of me! So, I put my water back & left! What if I was an older woman in the bathroom by myself & this guy ran in without announcing himself, I would have had a heart attack. People R So Disrespectful!

Restrooms could be clean and trash taking out.
Truckers lots of space but best to call ahead for a spot

I live flying js but this one is the best. They have tons of cool stuff and really great food. The best part is a toss up between their bathrooms always being so nice n clean and the always always super sweet staff.

Friendly staff good store but the showers only get Luke warm. If your looking for a GOOD HOT SHOWER this isn't the place.

Plenty of parking. Store seemed clean enough. Employees were friendly enough. Toilets in driver area were filthy. First stall had urine on the floor, so I checked the other stall. It had poop on the floor. Drivers are pigs, but the toilets still need cleaning.

I ordered a whole pizza after 25 min. I ask about pizza cashier said oh you really wanted whole pizza I said you charged me for one she said ill have to go make it. Really your staff is that stupid

Nice, very friendly and outgoing staff. The Male cashier had a wonderful attitude and was very helpful

To start, half the diesel pumps were blocked off, then the one I chose was not working. After waiting in line for one pump only to have to circle around to get in line again is very frustrating with e-logs.
The shower was clean, but the water was lukewarm.

This is one of the dirtier Flying J's. The store is dirty and the fuel island looks like it never gets cleaned. I won't stop here again

Very Small and Outdated. Great employees, they need a manager that can deal with Corporate. Terrible food selections.

It's okay not like it used to be could us better help not so friendly people but other wise has everything you need for the most part

Their employees is very respectful, professional, and kind. Their baked chicken and pot roast is greeat! It is also, full filling. U will not have room for anything else. They GIVE U a plate that will feel any hungry Man or Woman

Stop and refuel spent over $400 went inside no coffee at all finally got someone to go make some can't wait another 15 minutes for the coffee and for the lady to get back to the register so I can pay for the coffee should have got the coffee for free
