Food Land reviews
7From out of town in area camping. People were very nice store had a little to alot of anything you need and prices were as expected for a small town grocery store.
We only shop here when we're staying at Willow Lake, so I'm glad there is a full grocery store so close. However, I was disappointed the other day when I purchased a carton of ice-cream that was marked on the shelf for $3.99, and I realized later when looking at the receipt that they charged me $4.75. I know this can happen anywhere, but it's always disappointing when it does.
Updated Review: I hate to do this, but I'm dropping my rating to 2 stars. Three times this summer they have overcharged me when buying groceries. The first time I didn't catch it. The last 2 times I did. That's just too many mistakes in a short period of time.
The meat selection from the meat dept.is really good. As far as the store in it's entirety goes it's pretty dirty, and has quite a few items on the shelves that have passed far beyond the expiration dates.
The employees are usually friendly and pleasant. It had been awhile since I had been there. The store itself seemed more tidy. The shelves also looked like they had been faced recently
Over priced and there is always rotting fruit and vegetables. I've said something about it before to a cashier and all I got in response was "itll be fine" wouldn't waste my time there if it can be avoided
Way to pricey 16.o. O bucks for TP. REALLY wonder why I don't shop here if I don't have to
They have something wrong with the freezers. I've bought freezer burnt fish and ice cream that has clearly been melted then refroze. This has been happening for years at both locations. Always keep your recipes from here, never shop in the freezers and always check expiration dates. They have a decent alcohol selection, though.
