I can not say enough amazing things about this place and these guys. I love my truck and am always worried about it but i wasnt here. They had it done in less then half the time he said it'd take and cost less too. And the best part the truck is back to running perfect again!

My favorite transmission shop in iowa. These guys are fast and know what they are doing, well over 100 years of experience between the employees. Thats why you can expect a waiting list to get your vehicle in. Never seen a waiting list for a place that's not worth going to.

Fast, honest, very knowledgeable and friendly. One of Iowa Citys best and the only place I go to with transmission issues.

I might have caught them at the wrong time but the guy who answered the phone was pretty rude and short like I was annoying him. It was enough that I went elsewhere instead.

Fountain did a great job putting a new transfer case half on my 2004.5 Chevy Silverado 2500hd diesel. They were able to fix the issue quickly and for a very reasonable price.

Fountain just installed a new clutch on my old Toyota truck. These guys were great to work with. Got me in as soon as possible. They even let me back into the shop while my truck was up on the lift and showed me exactly what was broken and what they were doing. Would recommend this place to others for repair in IC.

Well knowledge staff.need transmission work or differential work this is the place to go.they do have a wait time to get into the shop most of the time takes about 2 weeks but well worth the wait.

Great people to work with. Chris and his technicians are very knowledgeable and kind and were able to get my transmission worked in and finished with very short notice. I will definitely be coming here for any major trans work I don't trust myself to do. Thanks again for the exceptional service fellas.

Above and beyond amazing service.
On a Friday afternoon when our transmission went kaput during family road trip, the Fountain Transmission Specialist and especially Brandon, was the only place in the area that felt mercy for us. Every other shop in the area was too busy to even see us with advice, but not the Fountain. Brandon told us to come over to check everything out, and even though we knew it is not something we can fix on the spot, at least we knew what is a game plan, how to proceed with the urgent situation. The Fountain employee even took us with their car to get a car rental for us, how's that for amazing and kind service! They took care of our car while we were out of state. The kindness of the Fountain team will be remembered by us forever, they helped us above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you again! Wojciak family

Broke down in Iowa City and got recommended to go to Fountains. Brought our RV in at 6 in the morning they said they weren't sure if they could get us in because they were all booked for a week. An hour later we were back on the road for and unbelievable fair price. Super friendly and very honest.

Wonderful customer service, and incredibly helpful for me, as someone who doesn't know much about cars. I'd highly recommend!

I was in town and blew a trans, I spoke to three different people that all said the owner was the nicest guy around. I only spoke with the owner by phone, but I can tell he is a real nice guy. He also found out that my unit was under warranty, Which forced the unit to be towed to another facility. Honest, good people! Thank You Chris!

We heard nothing but great things about this place and each person used the word "honest" to describe the staff and owner here! I now part of this group. You probably.cant anyone more honest and great at their job than Fountains for transmission work.
