Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, Coralville IA

Awful, salty food. Felt gross after eating the food here. Would not recommend, especially with other decent options in the area.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere! It's almost like an old 70's look in the restaurant cool as can be. Price for the 2 of us $17 bucks I got the triple cheese burger with bacon and the fries fresh and absolutely amazing make sure you add all the goodies the burgers come with cheese, mustard and pickles and onion so if you want other toppings make sure to request them. The burger patties are 2.66 oz the manager said so I got the triple the right amount of fries and the seasoning on the fries fire make sure if your in the coraleville area hit that Freddy's up right down the way from the University of Iowa It was out first time at Freddy's and we will be going back for sure. I believe on Tuesdays kids eat free with purchase of the adult meal and Wednesdays college kids get a free drink and fries with a purchase of a sandwich from 2pm-5pm make sure to call ahead on those days and the bathrooms were clean I added that because most places like that the restrooms can be a major turn off especially when your trying to have a good bite to eat. The only thing I was disappointed in that I don't have more pictures of Freddy's custard & steak burgers for my review but I will next week when we head back to Coraleville. Great Spot very impressed and a impressive little spot and will get you another review next week about the custard! Once again Great food, Great Service and Great atmosphere!

I got a jalapeno cheeseburger and a strawberry shake. Service was friendly and I liked the food better than Steak n Shake or McDonald's. Will eat here again for sure.

First time at Freddy's was an overall good experience. The food was delicious even tho our concrete mixers were melted when they called our number. The restaurant was mostly clean but needed a good sweep and someone to wipe off all the tables. Will come back but might do drive thru.

First time visit -Freddy's key lime pie mix was wonderful. My husband and I shared a large. It was plenty for both of us. We will have to try the dining room next time.

Never been here before, but I loved it! It's really cute, like a 1950's ice cream shop. It was so good and so were their double steak burgers.

I didn't like the fries, which were julienne style, and they fell all over my car, which we got take out, not dine in. The fry sauce wasn't great. I'd appreciate a choice, of either honey mustard, sweet and sour, ranch, etc.

First time I've eaten there. Was really good. Needed a smaller burger though. And they forgot my ketchup.dinning area kinda small, it filled up fast.

Love their food and they have veggie burgers for my daughter. Turtle sundaes are Soooo.good!

Item missing from order. Cheese curds were lightly warmed in the fryer, not fully fried. The onion on our burgers was a full slice which is inedible for a normal person. We had to take apart and reassemble our burgers.

The service was fast and friendly.

It was an enjoyable visit to Freddy's on the coralville strip. The double steak burger was great as usual. The chicken sandwich was good but slightly smaller than sandwiches from other places. I always love the shoestring fries. The staff was very nice and we felt like we were getting personal attention. As usual. The atmosphere left a little to be desired. It was not very busy when we arrived. However, many of the tables were dirty and still needed to be wiped down. The number of people increased after we arrived but still no one was wiping down tables. Other than that it was a good meal.

I had never been to a Freddy's until I visited my niece in Arkansas, and I was very impressed, my wife and I both ordered a Patty Melt, it was the best Patty Melt we had ever had, so just to make sure we were correct, we went to a different Freddy's before we came back home to Iowa, they were the same, a month after we got back home, we took my mother inlaw out for lunch at Freddy's in Coralville, big disappointment, the booth tables were dirty and sticky, so we moved to a table with bar stools, the table was so wobbly that everytime we touched the table it would spill our drinks, we all ordered a Patty Melt, the hamburger patty was so thin you could almost see thru it, no onions on mine, very few on my wifes and mother inlaws, the bread was mashed down almost flat, and it came with minimal fries, might try another Freddy's in a different location, not sure at this time.

Food is over-sauced, but delicious! The new BBQ beer-cheese pretzel steak burger was REALLY delicious! Note (that we were not informed about) : when you're order is ready, they will announce your number over the speaker, even outdoors. The frozen custard concretes were very good too! I got the key lime one and loved it, even more than any DQ blizzard. There is a 15% discount for active duty and veterans too.

Food was good. Dining room needed to be cleaned. We had take out and they left out part of our order.

I have gone to this Freddy's multiple times, it can really be hit or miss at the drive through.

Two times I have went and they got my drink order wrong and even gave me a watered down version of my soft drink.

Today I went again for just an ice cream cone and it was laughable how small and deformed the ice cream looked. There wasn't even enough ice cream in the cone to make it past the first layer of the cake cone! To top it off it looked like it was made by a toddler who didn't even know how to operate the machine.

There is a little bit of a traffic jam when picking up orders are blocked by people getting their beverages.

I've tried liking Freddy's but I just can't entirely. The burgers all fall apart and are super messy and the bowl of chili I ordered for my side was just hotdog topping. Although delicious, eating a bowl of it is a little weird.

Our food came out piping hot and just as tasty as it usually is. We love stopping at this Freddy's when we are on the way home from the hospital.
