The lifeguard team is diligent and well-managed. They're also polite and seem to enjoy and take pride in their work. All-in-all, this gave me confidence to let my kids go wherever they wanted to on their own.

Slides and lazy river are awesome. Very family friendly. Overall, a great pool to swim at.

Guards were super attentive. Our family had a great time with all the different things to do.

Great place for the kids! Always seems crowded, even mid-day during the week. Hard to find a chair or place in the shade.

Paid admission for family of $28. Low admission cost for a pool.
Walked over to the stairs for the slide and they announced the deep end of the pool was closing and everyone had to get out. From previous visit here the most fun thing for adults is the slide, but it was closed, which is very disappointing.
The staff is not all that friendly and quick to bark orders at people. They could be more polite, but also getting people to listen at a pool is important, however posting signs that tell people what not to do may be a better option. There are a lot of unposted rules for some reason.
Main pool area is standing room only, very much over crowded, and I have seen pools with fewer people decline entry due to overcrowding.
The main pool is large, but is separated out into swimming lanes that are about 4 ft deep for some reason, far to shallow for swimming though. A standing/wading area that is over crowded. And about 1/3 of the pool, that on this visit was closed.
They have a kid pool as well that is decent sized for young kids. And a raft route water way, might be fun, but no real option for swimming.

Great experience. First time there and I loved the fact that everyone was well behaved and just enjoying themselves.
Plenty of lifeguards keeping everything running smooth.
The best public pool I've been to.

They are incapable of answering phone calls. I’ve been trying to call for over 2 hours. That doesn’t seem like a pool i would allow my child to be supervised by.

What does this pool and the ocean both have in common? Bite risk apparently. The urine/chlorine combo probably cleaned out the 8 year old blond male sized bite wound in my upper calf.

Is nice and all but if you're lying down in the drop slide it SCRAPES your back as you go down.also,

Awesome aquatic center! Something for every age with splash pad and shallow pool for the youngest, lap lanes, pool with 2 diving boards and a slide. Then my favorite, the lazy river and tube slides! Our favorite place to be in the hot summertime!

Children barely out of diapers with just enough power to pester you till there is nothing left to do but leave.
Do not float you must ride the tube, dont relax do as you are told. Not life guards rule nazis without the ability to think for themselves.

Lots of things to do, diving boards, slides (tube, bullet and kid friendly. Awesome kid area and a great lazy river. High and low dives, basketball hoops and swim lanes for those who want to just do laps.

The lifeguards were attentive at all times (we were there 5 hours).
Very clean and we'll maintained.
Strict rules but all seemed fair for safety reasons.
We will be back next year, even though it's an hour away.

Would have loved the place but the lifeguards were nitpicky. I get that they have rules. That said, I saw them deny a mom with 3 very small girls into the lazy river because they wouldn't allow her to put them all on one tube, and there has to be an adult on each tube, so she couldn't use 2 tubes either. Meanwhile I tried entering the lazy river on the steps, around her, and got yelled at for that. So the line behind her backed waaay up. Also they wouldn't allow me, an adult, to go down the very large " youth" slide, with my kid. Even though there were larger minors than myself going down. Why is there an age limit on that slide? Then, my son and friends, who have passed the deep end test at many pools, was not allowed to go down the drop-off slide until they took a swim test. The lifeguard did not pass 2 of them. I watched them all do the test and they did just fine. The lifeguard however, asked where my son had swim lessons and rolled his eyes when I said I taught him how to swim. I didn't tell him that I was a lifeguard myself. Also my nephew who had swim lessons in a different town was denied. Are they trained that only the locals can swim? Ridiculous. I have no reason to go back. There's better pools around.

Great place for families to relax together during the summer. I also enjoy that they have open swim & river walking hours.

The reason why I am giving 3 stars is because they have very strict rules and the lifeguards are sticklers on the rules. Good training by management, but could we lighten up and let both kids and adults have a fun filled time that is also safe? I have been to many other places around Iowa where the rules are more relaxed with safety still being top priority.
