We went to trade a game on ps4 for the same game on Xbox and had to trade 2 other games plus we had to pay 20 bucks and he didn’t Evan give us a case and he was mean

Would be nice to not get attitude when asking about new products coming.just part of the reason people shy away from this store

Good Service, they are following the mask rules and social distancing. Pretty good selection also.

Update:
I went yesterday and was kinda put off of the place. I went to get my wife a switch lite and games. It felt off and odd because the employee was more boastful than helpful.

I know you go to game stores to buy games, talk games and accessories, and generally have a good time.but I didn't know they hired game developers out of MIT to do it (it's what the clerk told my wife and I) ? !? I'm shocked at that, because I thought he would at least be a store manager or assistant manager. Guess it's back to the big box stores for me.

Very impressed by the staff. She was very helpful and friendly over the phone and provided answers to all the questions I had. When I was in-store, it was clear she had a passionate interest in games and was a pleasure to talk to. Quickly processed my transaction while attending to other customers in the store simultaneously. They offered a fair price for my trade-ins, were honest about which ones they weren't interested in, and even referred me to a local store who would likely be interested in buying the games they passed over.

This is a great GameStop!

The staff is great and have a passion for gaming no matter the platform.

Definitely going to be a regular stop when I come to the Des Moines area.

Very small store. Seems like each time I go here their inventory of stuff keeps dwindling. Granted I'm only usually looking for Funkos, but even their selection is getting pretty limited to just your basic run of the mill basic common stuff you expect to find on shelves that no one wants. This store needs a clearance shelf big time like the 'South-Side' store does.
The better thing about this store though is the employees. Every time I come here, the customer service is way better. The people are always extremely helpful and friendly. I can't say that about the store on SE 14th where I've been completely ignored before, even when no one else was in the store.
So a note to cooperate: Get this store better inventory and it would do more business!

Horrible service, i bought a pre owned ps4 controller and took it home only for it to not work i then had to drive 35 minutes back to get a replacement controller only for that one to not work also.

When I was 7 years old I was playing command and conquer tiberium wars. I was playing a violent pg13 game at my age and no one stopped me. Terrible customer service. The employees kicked me out of the store because I was Chinese. Not because I was hogging the video game for 3 hours. I was offended and they assumed my gender. ;)
