We went out to price a new gun, and buy a red dot sight for my wife’s EDC. We were given such a good price, we ordered it. The pricing on the red dot was very competitive and they installed it while we waited. Absolutely enjoyed our experience at Generational Guns! It’s always our first stop!

Generational Guns is the place you want to go if you’re interested in purchasing a firearm. Their customer service is magnificent. Prices are reasonable and all staff is knowledgeable. They work as a team. I was treated with respect. If I have any problems they will take care of it. I recommend Generational Guns highly.

I was here with a police officer family member, who was picking up an AR.
The place was quite busy!
The shop was not a really large, but still had a selection of new and used rifles, shotguns, & handguns.
They have a variety of ammo, sights, tactical components and other add-ons.
The young man that assisted my friend was quite polite and knowledgeable, and more than willing to visit and answer any questions.

Best gun shop around if you're not sure they will help you, you have questions about that new gun you've brought ask them
if they don't know they'll find out for you if you need work done on a weapon they have gunsmiths there and it won't cost you your first born,
It might seem packed but that's because a few people like to hang out there very friendly and really helpful.
They can even change the color of your gun to any color you wish need parts they either have them or can get them same for ammo need a purse to carry that gun they have them as well.
I have even got armor plates for my back packs from them.
Not sure about what type of gun you might want or need they will help. Go in a stranger you'll leave with new friends.

Quick and simple FFL transfer. They do a great job of making sure all paperwork is done correctly.

Everything is overpriced. Staff is impolite and uneducated. They mislead customers about the products and current gun laws to push sales. Will not ever let a friend shop here.

One of the best if not the best gun stores around Des Moines. Fair prices whether you’re buying a gun or getting a gun repaired. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Would give them 10 stars if I could! And a big thank you for helping me with my last repair.

This was my first time to stop in and all I can say is WOW! I was expecting to leave a part for them to work on, but they fixed it immediately and then fixed another issue in short order.

All ways enjoy going in and receiving wonder service. Taking the time to explain my questions. Also just listening to how they treat every customer.

Dropped sons older 22 rifle off for feeding extraction issues the guys were super nice to my 11yo son and fixed his rifle in no time flat. We were both pleased with both timeliness and cost.
