Goldie's Ice Cream Shoppe, Prairie City IA

This is a great little restaurant in picture-perfect Prairie City, Iowa. They have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, tenderloins, and combos. I like the Maggs combo. It is a tenderloin and cheeseburger on a bun. It is delicious. Magg is the family's name that owns the restaurant. They also have pie and ice cream all at a very reasonable price.

I always love coming here. Great food and ice cream. Small town friendly. The staff will gladly converse with you about just about anything. It's almost like going over to a relative's house for a nice get together.

This place only has one thing in mind- quality! From the staff, to the dining areas, to the food. Everything will surpass your expectations.

Hands down the absolute best tenderloins in Iowa. Not sure what they're putting in their loins, but holy cow! The Goldie’s fries and ranch are also a delicious delight. And get the ice cream after your meal. You won't be let down. Don’t be ridiculous. Hop in your car right now and get to Goldie’s!

I ordered strawberry shake tenderloin and fries. Shake and fries were great. But the tenderloin was fatty and thin cooked way to long. My meal was 20 bucks definitely won't be having the tenderloin again. Usually food has been good I've had there. Fed it to my dog's

Great ice cream & tenderloins. This place is always busy. One of a few restaurants that added more dining space and filled it.

I stopped in on Ftiday afternoon. I was greeted immediately and given a menu. From the time I ordered until I got my food was 5-10 minutes. I ordered the tenderlonion and onion rings. They were excellent.

Always a must stop when we come to Iowa! Best tenderloin ever! A perfect day: tenderloin at Goldie's and bison at the Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge!

Tenderloin always delivers. Specialty ice cream flavors are the best. Black walnut today. Check their calendar for the flavors. Find your favorite, make the drive out. It's worth it. Then, check out the bison on the other side of the highway.

Be sure to add $100 to $150 to the price of your visit if you are traveling to Goldie's via 163. The good people of Prairie City have placed speed cameras along the route that will charge you for accelerating above 65 in the passing lane.

Have great black raspberry maltz. Good place for a break from the road. Stop there everytime I'm in the area when out riding.

Very unique place. When we stopped there for the first time, we had no idea what it was going to be like. The waitresses were very personable and explained what they offered. Did not realize this was more than just an ice cream shop. I live 30 minutes from there, and I hope to go back fairly soon again to try something different. We did not try any, but they even have homemade pies.

Just a great place to catch dinner at times or hitting up the ice cream just to finish off a good evening. We love this place!

Get the Magg combo. Tenderloin and cheeseburger on one bun. Delicious. After you get done eating, get a milkshake. I did the black rasberry over vanilla and it was amazing!
