Granite Valley Apartments, Cedar Rapids IA

Management is fabulous. Maintenance requests are handled quickly. Units have tons of storage and a spacious layout. Nice playground/ patio area with grills and a dog park.
Overall we enjoyed it here. The apartments themselves are a little outdated but overall seem to be well kept and it seems they are updating units as people vacate to keep them relatively nice.

I needed some maintenance done and Zach came and fixed the issue and it didn’t take very long at all. All the staff are very helpful to work with. Great job!

I lived in Granite Valley Apartments between 2021 and 2023. This is one of, if not the best rental communities in Cedar Rapids. It is a quiet, safe, and clean community with spacious apartments and townhomes – a great place to live if you’re a young professional like myself or have a small family.

It is conveniently located at the corner of Boyson Road and C Avenue NE. Within a short walking distance, you'll find a Hy-Vee store/pharmacy (where you can drop off clothes for dry cleaning!), a Dollar General store, and a convenience store/gas station. It is also across from a strip mall with a number of restaurants and a barbershop. The property is close to two bus stops on the same line, providing easy access to nearby Lindale Mall, Blair Ferry Road, and connecting stops for other bus routes. Additionally, it's a short drive from Collins Aerospace, making it a convenient location for professionals who work at the company.

This was my first time living in a townhome, and I loved it! It was clean, spacious, and equipped with a washer/dryer (super convenient!). I had always lived in apartments with secure access, so I wasn't accustomed to sleeping upstairs while the entrance door was on ground level, but I quickly became comfortable with it.

One of the standout features of this place is how well it is maintained. The backyards are always beautiful year-round, and the maintenance support is top-notch – they are available, responsive, prompt, and complete tasks with a smile. They conduct routine pest and maintenance checks, which shows how much they value keeping things in top condition.

Beyond the tangible qualities of this place, having a well-managed property that you can trust is crucial. Marisa and Brittany were incredible. The property management is on-site, and their door is always open. They are responsive, prompt, kind, and inviting – the Iowa way. If you have a concern or question, you can easily reach them via email or stop by their office, and they'll address your issues promptly. I even recommend stopping by their office for a social visit – I certainly did.

I highly recommend this place!

Staff is very responsive, can usually get an issue figured out in a timely manner. Apartments are pretty old but comfortable. Fitness room is small but has a decent amount of equipment and space. Its nice that HyVee pharmacy is close by too.

I have lived at Granite Valley for a year. I would've continued living there but I had to move from Iowa.
Granite Valley apartments are nice but Marisa, Brittany and Ed make it a home. Have a maintenance issue? They will take care of it soon. Something bothering you? They'll take care of it promptly.
The area is great, there is a Hyvee in the corner, Casey's opposite to that and a couple of restaurants opposite to the apartment.
Nice friendly atmosphere. ALL of my neighbors were great. The apartment is old but very nice, clean and well maintained. The appliances are new.

What can I say about working for this company. I truly enjoyed working there and learning everything that I did in the time I got to work there. Probably one of the most well put together properties I have had the opportunity to work for. The managers were an absolute blast to work for and kept everything going and fun. I will miss working there and working with Ed.

I've really loved living here. The staff is always reliable and helpful, and the maintenance crew is also very responsive which I appreciate. The cost might be a little higher than average, but the amenities are great. The area is also fantastic!
