The lady working there doesn’t have any sense of respect for her costumers…. After politely asking her to do some slight modifications near the end, she begins to shout at me and say “I don’t want to cut twice”. She ends up haphazardly doing what I asked her after a lengthy argument

Stopped in the day before Christmas Eve as everyone was closed after I got off work. Saw the 3.8 review and was a little concerned, but didn't have a choice. I was very happy with my cut. Granted, my cut is super simple and I know how to direct hairdressers, but I wanted to let others know I had a positive experience. $10.70 for a male cut? Nobody is that cheap. I tipped generously and will likely be back. Loved all the plants!

I experienced the worst hair cut here. Asked for the simplest straight haircut, and i received a wave-shaped haircut, while two sides of my hair are not even, and every one sees me realizes thatnever go there again!

I’ve been here around 10-15 times and can confidently say it’s a 50/50 shot that she gets your haircut correct. I have constantly left with uneven sides or with the completely wrong haircut. When you are looking for a haircut YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, but this is beyond disastrous. I question if I could give myself a better haircut than the lady could give to me.

You get what you pay but here you get what you tell her.

Heard art is on the corner of Lynn and Court Street. The lady has been cutting hair for 25 years in this location and has survived a tornado. Cash only. 9.99. You can’t even get a drink for 995 and downtown Iowa city anymore. Iowa city has the most ridiculously inflated prices of anywhere. I mean it’s still Iowa after all. But this place has kept the same price for 25 years.nothing fancy but I was in and out in 13 minutes flat and it was literally 995. I gave her a $20 bill and tipped her the other 10. Well worth it and still the best deal around for a haircut.

This is my go-to place for a regular haircut. The place is beautifully adorned with plants, creating a great ambiance. The prices are incredibly affordable, possibly the lowest in Iowa City. The hairdresser is friendly. The only downside is that they only accept cash payments; they don't take cards. If you're a plant enthusiast, you'll adore this place as the entire salon is brimming with fantastic greenery.

Went in for a haircut, left with the worst cut ever. Long spots, fade wasn’t even and had a line around my head. It’s the most basic and simple haircut for men and it looks absolutely horrible. You pay for what you get!

My boyfriend got his hair cut here for the first and last time. His cut was so uneven, I had to take to the scissors to fix it. Yikes and never again.

Best prices in town, however the price does come with some downsides. The lady is very nice and polite. Her place is very calming and could easily be found at a spa. It could easily put you to sleep while you wait as opposed to feeling rushed.

Worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. Had to go to another place to fix it. Don’t be lured by 10$ haircut.
