We recently purchased a 2021 Alpha Wolf from Herolds, and it was one of the smoothest experiences we’ve ever had with a big purchase. Everything was very simple. The office staff was friendly, and the gentleman who gave us our final walk through was very thorough and explained everything well! This was our first camper experience and we love it! We fully intend to visit Herolds a few years down the road, when we are ready for our next camper.

We stopped in this morning around 730 7: 45 we had a hitch problem with her Airstream spoke to the lady in the office at Harold’s RV told her we needed some assistance she said they don’t open till eight and they’re booked all day so we were left stranded… i’m not recommending a place like this she would even give us five minutes of her time!

Don’t go to Harold’s for any help! We stopped in on the way out of town with our Airstream, all we needed was a little help getting the sway bars into the slots to lock. My husband was trying to do it all by himself with my 81 year old dad, so I went inside but the lady told me “they don’t open until 8 and they’re booked for the day”. I wasn’t asking for an all day appointment, just 5 minutes of help! So much for small town, Indianola hospitality! They absolutely deserve to go out of business! I really hope competition takes them over.

Fall of 2019 we purchased a 2017 Big Horn 5th wheel that Curtis from Herold Trailer Sales was selling for a 3rd party. Our first experience with their customer service was when I called about the brackets on the glass cover on the stove because they had bent and didn't work. I sent them a picture of them and they said it would be about $50 to replace. I told them I thought the stove looked just fine without the glass cover. We decided to look on the internet and lo and behold an RV supply company had them for less than $5 for both.
After that I should have known better but the gear in the slide broke and we figured we should go to a Big Horn dealer for repairs. We called to get it get an appointment in the fall of 2020 and were told they were busy winterizing so we'd have to wait until spring so we asked to make an appointment and they said they don't do that. We'd have to call back in the spring. I'm just going to say my husband is much more patient than I am. So the beginning of March 2021 my husband called and the lady once again says they're busy and they'll have to put us on a list and they'll call us. Well we're still on the "list" and yet to get a call and it's March 28th. The same day we were told that, I called Bowling RV in Ottumwa. We got an appointment for about 2 weeks after I called and that was because they had to wait for US to get our camper out of storage. So if you want great service and honest people go somewhere else! Oh and I had to give them a star in order to write the review. No stars!

I had recently purchased a 2021 Apex UltraLite trailer from Herold and had it shipped. At first the transaction was pretty simple and the price was good. I do believe it is because I made the transaction simple for them, I knew what I wanted and was ready to pay. Since the trailer was being shipped to my location, I asked that they complete a thorough inspection and take pictures prior to the visit. As you can guess, they did neither. When I received delivery of the trailer I noticed that the microwave was slanted, the shower surround was bowed, rain gutter was missing and the laminate on the cabinetry was bubbling. I called Curtis and asked for help in remedying the situation and sent him the email I sent Coachmen with the pictures and crickets, no response. Called twice but he wasn't there so I left a message with no response. It is unfortunate that you spend so much money on these trailers and their dealer network is only there to help until you drive off the lot. I would be extremely careful before considering buying a trailer from Herold. This is specifically true if you are out of state and are not able to inspect prior to taking delivery. The other issue is that other dealers are hesitant to take the warranty repair being that the trailer was purchased out of state.

Added some images so that you can see how easy it would have been to spot if they would have looked and the laminate that has bubbled is on every piece that has a rounded edge.

We just picked up our 2021 Alpha Wolf 26DBH-L and couldn’t be happier with our experience through Harold’s Trailer Sales. Everyone was very helpful and made the process so easy. It truly felt like they cared. Thank you for a fantastic walk through and happy camping!

Best RV dealer in the Des Moines area. We have a 2011 Evergreen Everlite that we purchased new from a MI dealer. This is the the only true Green "Emerald" rated travel trailer we could find at the time. My wife is sensitive to building material off gassing and Everlite has none. Anyway, we had some water line repairs a few years back and the service dept fixed things up great for a brand they don't sell. We are getting close to wanting to step into a fifth wheel and will probably check out what Pam and the group has to offer in 2020.:) Randy

Brought our camper in for service and there is for sure not enough stars here. Bob was very personal and answered our questions that we had. I highly recommend Heralds Trailer Sales and especially the service department. Thank you Bob for all your help.

Not good as I hope having lots of family buying an bought trailer for there. The maintenance guy Bob, he was the best. As I was a maintenance man before l retirement. There was a few problems with it Bob took care of it when we bought it had a few more problems with it they kind of worked on them. And the cleaning that they said they were going to do bad hand prints on everything air conditioning door so dirty I can write my name on it you name it it was bad mopped with a muddy mop.give me a break I could do a better job.but I bought a new one. Don't know if I'll buy the next one there.
