I came in to pick my my sister's bridesmaid dress and it wasn't done even though they gave us the ticket with that date. They asked me to wait another hour so I came back in an hour and it still wasn't done. They said 10 more minutes, well 40 minutes later I finally got the dress. They were supposed to hem it and take in the sides they only hemmed it and they didn't even hem all the layers. There were sewing needles, open safety pins, and a razor blade on the floor and on the seats for guests. While I was waiting for the dress that should have already been done (they had it for 2 months at this point) another woman came in and I heard her conversation complaining that they didn't move the zipper from the side of her shirt to the back they hemmed it when they weren't supposed to and charged her for the work. Luckily she got her money back but my sister wasn't so fortunate.

Unprofessional on the phone “I won’t help you, I’m too busy” then proceeded to just hang up while I was in the middle of asking a question.

The owner is the sweetest lady and she was so helpful! I wasn’t sure about my dress length and she was so knowledgeable. Overall great experience

I just picked up my wedding dress from Hickman Tailors. When I purchased my dress it was about 2 sizes too small. I was so worried no one would be able to let it out enough to fit but it turned out so perfect! Truly I could not even tell any alterations had been made. It was also very affordable for what I needed done. I was surprised that I had to pay at my first appointment as opposed to when I picked it up, but I don't have things altered very often so maybe that's just how it works. The appointment system is pretty casual, which I am okay with but just a note. I was so relieved when I took my dress home today I almost cried tears of joy. I definitely recommend!:)

Please listen carefully: if I could get this place 10 stars I would. If I could take this business with me across the country wherever I live I would do it. Not only is there work neat clean pristine and perfect, but the customer service I received from them left me in tears of absolute joy and happiness. They took care of me like I was their own. If even for a moment you hesitated and couldn’t decide which tailor to go with, I am personally begging you to only go to them because if it is your special event, Hickman Tailors will be the only ones that will actually do it right and give you an experience that you will forever be grateful for, forever. They have definitely gained a life long customer from my end.

I came to Hickman Tailors to have my wedding dress altered. They did an amazing job and listened so carefully to what I wanted. I highly recommend to anyone looking for alterations.

I brought my bridesmaids dress here and they did a great job! They had to tighten the straps, bring it in at the waist, add cups, and shorten it. Tried it on when I picked it up and fit like a glove!

I have had suit alterations and pant hemming done here. All great prices and quality work. I will bring all my alterations here.

My sister told me about this place so when the zipper went out on my authentic (overpriced) Cubs jacket I took it to them to replace it. They put a better zipper in and at a great price. Other places I checked wanted almost as much as the coat cost me new. After this I took my North Face winter coat to them and, even though they were swamped, they worked me in. I will take all of my repairs and alterations here.

My husband took a coat he received as a gift to have the sleeves shortened. They had to do the interior liner as well and move outside velcro straps on the outside. They had to shorten all of the sleeves at least 6 inches. They did an outstanding job. The stitching looked just as professional as it looked when he received it. Would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again. Pricing was very fair.

Great service at reasonable prices and times! I am very petite and need a lot of clothes tailored, they have been doing a really great job of fixing up my clothes for me. Whenever I come in, I don’t have to wait too long to have my things looked at and they are very nice!
