Call the number provided and extension 2 and a guy picked up and then hung up once I asked if they had a specific item of pastry. I called back and got a machine~ one star rating ~ I’d refer people to go elsewhere since there obviously no quality care for customers here….

The last 3 times I’ve been here they’ve been out of cookies. Wish they would make more like they used to

Having lived in the area and getting fresh donuts before work regularly whenever we come back it is mandatory to stop. Unfortunately we didn't get there until til 8am (I know better) service was awesome and we still got a nice variety of donuts/rolls. This bakery is a definite must have!

Did not get what I ordered at all, called the bakery and got attitude. She replied with, well we are low on stock so I don't understand what you are wanting. Really how about a call if you don't have 3 glazed doughnuts and 3 chocolate cake doughnuts! Won't be using them again. I'd rather have lower quality product than totally wrong and attitude.

Great customer service and awesome egg croissant and pecan rolls! Very reasonably priced also.

Staff is amazing. We went for wedding cake tasting. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, a little loud for me that early in the morning lol. Over all great experience we will be bake to try some other yummies

I stopped in today and purchased 6 cheese/cheese and assorted fruit danishes. They were not soft and delicious like they used to be and tasted old. Super disappointed. Also, the customer service is sub par and not very welcoming.

Good donuts and rolls, and I like the atmosphere and I like to support local, but the customer service here drives me nuts. Every time I go in, there’s a long line and only one guy who works there who seems to move faster when it’s busy. Staff take a couple minutes to talk amongst themselves before helping the next person. Having grown up working in my family’s restaurant, it’s just frustrating to see a long line waiting and the people working moving so slowly.

Again, great bakery, NICE employees, just like…MOVE!

Poor product. No flavor. Nothing at all like the previous owner’s donuts and pastries. Used to be the best donuts in Des Moines. Miss those days.

Personally had the most enjoyable experience this morning at Hiland Bakery. Jay made conversation with me right away and was super genuine. Thank you Jay for making my morning!

I ordered $200 worth of pastries and cookies and cupcakes for my daughter's funeral. I live in Texas and had her service in Iowa. Everything was ready on time and absolutely delicious! I don't like cupcakes but I loved these especially the white cake with chocolate frosting. We had cookies decorated in cats and dogs. They were delicious, popular and lots of compliments. Thank you so very much!

AMAZING donuts! They even have gluten free options! The staff there is always so welcoming and helpful!

Very good donuts. The filled donuts had filling in every bite. I like the icing they use over the traditional icing most places use.

Donuts amazing. Cake I ordered for my babies 1st birthday was very well decorated, but taste wise was terrible.

Highland Park Bakery has the BEST Donuts. They don't skimp on fillings. Bavarian Creme is my favorite but we Love them all. Cost a little more then DD but well worth it.

This place is becoming part of our Saturday morning routine. Coffee is excellent and every baked good we've tried has been good.
