We recently purchased a new home from Hubbell. The walk-through and orientation were excellent. Love the follow-up of issues needing attention.

They choose to not respond. I responded to the message they sent saying to contact ASAP so they could address the problem and well guess what no response from Hubbell Homes.

Beautiful home and neighborhood but they are short staffed and most employees are new and unfamiliar with the building of our 6 month old home.
Emaila to staff go on answered and warranty list are not always completed quickly. Work order system is good through warranty portal.

We had a custom home built by hubbell in 2017. We have had a terrible experience waiting for our home to be built while they just built all of the other homes around our home. Our home was always the last on their to do list and it took them much longer than they said it would at signing. This delay was important to us because we had a baby on the way. The HOA is terrible and the rules make it near impossible for the homeowners to take it over. The HOA does nothing but take our money. We see no benefit what so ever. There is no snow removal included as we were told. They paid for work to be done to the community sign and all they did was deface it and break the side walk. We are still plagued with hubbell’s contractors coming to our home, digging up our yard, then leaving. They do not fill the holes or repair the damage. They come with no notice. We don’t even feel like we own our own property with the number of people that come and go. We have video of their contractors sitting under the tree in our front yard and talking on their phone in our driveway. They walk right up to the house and act like they live here. Hubbell did a sloppy job all around the house and were difficult to work with to get these things fixed which mostly involved covering it up. The deck that should have been pressure treated has bowed after the first winter and the grout in the bathroom has also cracked. We have large sink holes all over our yard and large cracks due to the fact they removed all of the topsoil and left us with clay to grow grass in. Not to mention the sloppy job they did with the sod. The gaps and holes are enormous and you can still see them despite my efforts of filling them with dirt and grass seed. We complained and were told it would grow together. It’s been 2 years and that has not happened. We tried to back out of the contract after how long it took and the poor job they were doing but we had already signed and they weren’t willing to let us out. We can’t wait to sell this home and move out of this development.

So far every issue I have had Hubble has responded. Most complaints I see don't make sense.

My Original review of Hubbell Homes was negative. However after an extensive and productive conversation with the builder Greg I have decided to be more fair in my assessment. To say that Greg is a total top notch professional would be understating what this man actually does. He is one of the most accommodating builders I have ever met. He actually cares on how you feel and if you are comfortable in your new home. I addressed my concerns and Greg was already ahead of me on all but 1 of the 3 items. In my opinion Hubbell Homes has a goldmine in Greg. If it isn’t too much for me to say I think this man deserves a promotion. Thank you Greg for being consistent and considerate and thank you Hubbell Homes for hiring him. I have a beautiful home.

They do fine work, but I strongly encourage people to have ALL issues resolved before buying. They said they would fix things promptly, but once they had the money in hand, they have been unresponsive and rude.

Very disappointing lack of customer service by the warranty and community management groups. In fact, the worst service I have ever seen. It leaves me concerned that Hubbell is in financial trouble?

Immediately after purchasing our home Hubbell built a home next door that looks the same as ours. Exactly the same siding color and stone. Initially they said it was a mistake and they were going to paint it, but they changed their mind and now we have twin homes right next to each other. This is detrimental to the value of our home and the value of homes in the neighborhood. (Mill Ridge West Des Moines)

No excuse as to why a home that is newly designed should have a kitchen sink and toilet above the garage.that continue to habitually have water supply lines frozen. They are the absolute worst association management I have ever come across. They are all talk over email and no action. This area is not very old.and is already needing many repairs.don’t even know what our association dues are being allocated to as no maintenance is ever done. Our doors in the home do not latch.we have cracking in many of the walls.creeky flooring.my next new home will not be built or associated with Hubbell. Will not recommend.

Does this look like it is handicapped assessible? This is why they want you to purchase renters insurance.oh, and you can be evicted without any real evidence.say hello to the process server as he lurks in the hallway.hmmmm i wonder how he opened up the secured door.i know!

We purchased our Hubble home in 2015 and love it. I would recommend them highly for good service and craftsmanship. They really seem to care about the quality of their product.

A home builder in the Des Moines area. Known for quality and customer service. I bought one of their homes in Norwalk and am really enjoying it.

Seriously the worst builder ever. Iv lived in 4 new houses in my life time and this one is a half a million dollar garbage. Fill free to comtact me and id love to show you why not to use hubble

Hubbell Homes does great work with you until you give them the money. But they don't follow up at all. We have had to fight them at every step to fix issues that have come up or just been found, all within warranty time. If you're going to spend the money on a new home, I recommend getting someone you can trust to keep their word. Not get their money and run.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had, made promises to keep us on the hook for over a year and reneged on feature after feature with no concessions while maintaining complete apathy.

I have never worked with a builder before who refuses to respond to emails or follow up problems. Watch your back

I would never buy a Hubbell Home! So cheaply made! Water comes through the windows, you can hear everything outside like there is no wall between you and the outdoors, sprinklers have never worked right, and after 3 1/2 years the cabinets fall out from the wall, and as things fell, it scraped up the floor and they don't want to do anything about it! What? A brand new home and cabinets fall out of the wall? Very poor quality!

We had not heard great things about Hubbell, but loved the house's layout. Now understand why we'd heard those bad reviews.
