I got the best cat. He was well trained and everyone was so polite. This place is the best.

I got the sweetest cat ever from PetSmart and they got her from here and I'm very grateful for their work! Thank you for your service!

We were unable to hold the cats. We came back twice. We are still waiting on approval to adopt a week later. We have since found a new family member

Really fun taking my daughter there to see some pets. As soon as we went inside, we were ask were asked if we were looking to adopt and what kind animal. We were just browsing. Were told that side dogs, that side cats.
Aa soon as we went in, it just smelled of cat pee. Not cleaning ammonia but kitty peepee. They had a whole lot of cats. This was a Saturday so I dont know if there were a lot of volunteers working or not but I only saw one lady cleaning up one cat room. So maybe they were behind. May daughter had fun with the cats but the smell was just getting too much. So we went over to the dog area but as soon as we opened the door the dog barking got louder and we could hear a lady yelling back at the dogs to be quiet. We couldn't even get in there to see dogs, she had her ears covered so hard with her hands we had to leave.
It has been a while since I have gone to a shelter so maybe this is how it is.

They where very rude, you walk in and all you smell is urine. You ask for help and they seems like they dont care or give you attitude. I will never go back.

I just met a beautiful green eyed cat and brought home an adorable little former-stray. They are participating in the Bissell Empty the Shelter program so now is a great time to bring some furry love-bug home with you.

Only a few are in it for the animals. Very disheartening. Staff would NOT answer questions at visit, no return calls as requested.

We adopted 2, TWO dogs from them. The 1st dog when a reputable trainer/Behavioralist was there was very helpful and advised us to bring 1st dog back as they couldn’t train him…too aggressive, which is not what we saw when meeting him. Come to find out he was under the influence of anesthesia and very calm. As soon as we got him home, a totally different story, aggressive, biting etc. 2nd dog we were PROMISED AGAIN that they offered 4 training Sessions, THEY REFUSED! So now we’re stuck with a dog that we’ve tried everything with and they refused to give us suggestions or support! Would NEVER RECOMMEND! Won’t even return a phone call and keep saying “we’ll email you suggestions and charts”! NEVER EVER RECEIVED ANYTHING!

Staff was wonderful. Answered all of our questions and were patient with us as we took two visits to make our choice of our new family member. The facility was clean and well staffed. Everyone we met had a caring attitude toward the animals and about helping us make sure our new pet was a good fit for us. Highly recommend this service.

Was not given correct Information about the adoption process. They knew is Was interested in adopting a pitbull and no one bothered to share the process until the evening before I was going there.then they gave me the run around on speaking to adoption counselor. Had to tell them to nevermind as I was coming from out of town and did have a ride 3 days later
Be careful when dealing with this facility

Seems others have had a bad experience trying to adopt a pittbull from Scott County Humane Society in Davenport IA

The staff here really does care about the animals and they are full of info. Would definitely recommend them to anyone that is in need of wanting to adopt a pet.

I was fortunate to find a young friend for my older cat who had recently lost his sister. She came home and it was as if she had always been here.

Lots of Pit and Pit mixes for adoption, but none of the people working there seemed to concerned about actually helping to pick out a dog. We went for a specific dog who was in the other part of the shelter. We asked about him but they didn't want to bring him out for a meet and greet. We left without ever getting to meet any of the dogs.

We went in to find a sweet little female kitty. As they were getting her out for us to meet, in the kennel below 2 long cat arms reached out to hug one of our granddaughters. His name was Marlo. A big black longhaired boy. We all fell in love and is amazing! Such a sweet boy! Thank you for everything,
