Hyatt Place Altoona / Des Moines reviews
14It's very clean and very spacious. The only thing I don't like it is they don't have microwave in the room. You have to go down to the breakfast room just to use it.
+I love how me and my family were greeted when we enter the hotel!
Staff AMAZING! Highly reconmended! The pool was great it was freezzing when me and my family got in but got warmer!
we will be staying the night again sometime.
-NOTHING
It was refreshing to stay at a clean hotel. Very clean - nice bedding. No-carpet in the rooms is also very nice! The only issue we had was trying to enter and exit the facility. Two entry points on a very long street. We had to turn around and circle back to enter the facility. We will be back, however! Thanks!
I loved this stay. I felt so welcomed and safe. The bed was big, warm, and comfortable. Went on a business trip.
Accommodating complimentary breakfast, big meeting room fully supplied with our needs, and staff was wonderful! Will be back again soon!
The front desk staff were some of the nicest I’ve ever encountered in a hotel. They were all friendly and helpful. My only complaint was there are no plugins near the bed. If you want to charge a device you have to do so on the opposite side of the room. Very inconvenient but otherwise good experience with the hotel itself.
We just held our corporate meeting at this hotel. The staff at this hotel were all ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and genuinely so nice! It was so refreshing to feel so welcomed.
Our rooms and the corporate room were perfect. We plan to have all of our yearly meetings at this location!
Amazing place to stay. Very clean and beautiful. Kimberly, the face of this luxury hotel, was so accommodating and nice. It was pleasant talking to her. Fantastic experience. Well deserving 5 star!
Was traveling cross country, was nice to find a good place (that took dogs) at the very last minute.
This is my first time staying a Hyatt hotel and I'm impressed in the luxury feeling of this hotel. Felt like I was paying more even though I wasn't.
Friendly employees
Clean rooms, i was in room 431 and again it felt very luxurious.
Great service by the reception staff. Even at capacity, this hotel suited our needs. The only complaint is that we had to chase down housekeeping to have our room cleaned once during our 8-day stay. Even when I called down to the reception desk on day 4 and had my placed on the list for the next day, our room was not cleaned, and I was placed on the list for the following day. The breakfast items were limited but were sufficient for our needs. The customer service was great, and location was perfect. There's plenty of free parking. I would recommend.
Absolutely gorgeous and what a wonderful experience we had planning our wedding and having our reception there. Couldn't have asked for a better place to go for great service and having wonderful personally in all your staff! Hats off to the entire team! Albert and Cindy Burrage!
Hotel is very nice, with large clean rooms, friendly staff, and fairly convenient location. It was super busy when we went, and kids were playing baseball outside of our room late at night being extremely noisy. Other than that it was a great stay.
Very nice, clean rooms and great staff.
I can't find anything negative to say about the 4 days I spent here.
I liked how the hotel was tucked away so that I didn't have to worry about dirty homeless people bothering me while I had my smoke outside.
Not sure what all the hype is for for $300/night + dog fee. Or maybe I’ve just stayed in a lot nicer hotels. Completely out of body wash, and had no idea until using the shower since it’s the type that’s hooked into the wall and doesn’t budge. Don’t stay in a room by the elevator, you won’t sleep at all and had no quiet hours posted. Dog fee was $75 which is more in line with actual boutique hotels and ridiculous for this place. Room wasn’t anything special to be honest. Glass cups were dirty so we avoided using them. Wouldn’t stay here again.
