IHOP, Coralville IA

Just spent the last 15 minutes of my life trying to keep recalling the store and they wouldn't answer for a pickup order. Good thing Pizza Hut was right across the street.

Just came for a late breakfast and was told we would have to wait to be seated. The restaurant was half empty and we are left in the waiting area with no explanation. Decided to leave and called in to talk to the manager who turns out was the same person who left us there in the first place! She then proceeds to excuse herself on the basis of being short staffed. This is really not a good reason to not seat us in an empty restaurant! We could have been seated with menus and given an explanation that there may be a short delay due to short staffing.left in a cold lobby after no greeting other than a muttered "it'll be a while" really isn't acceptable. Don't recommend at all.

My waitstaff, Aspen, was amazing, but, the cooks nearly put me in the hospital. I have aggressive Celiac's Disease and just barely noticed that they brought out the wrong pancakes when I saw my burrito bowl had the wrong gravy too.
I don't like to make a fuss, but, this could be very dangerous for me.
Edit: Never mind. My food was contaminated with gluten. I am extremely sick and will have to cancel all my appointments due to the cooks here not following their own safety procedures. I was so excited to be able to have my first pancakes in a year and turns out I still can't eat pancakes, because, food safety means nothing to people anymore. ‍
Gluten-Free is not a trend! It's a need!

Staff was friendly, but food was just average or maybe just below. My husband liked his grilled chicken dinner with rice & buttered corn. He asked for the salad as his side and was told they'd had to throw it all out. So he got pancakes and ate them as dessert. I got one of the 55+ breakfasts. The portion was more than adequate. However, when it arrived, the eggs were floating in grease & the hash browns tasted like either they were old or the oil used to fry them in was old. The bacon & toast was fine.
As I said, staff was very nice & accommodating.

This restaurant can't even get a simple pancake order right. My wife ordered the new reeses pancakes and got plain. Such terrible service.

Got some to go. My crepes didn't have filling and the bacon was rock hard. Then they ran out of lettuce for some peoples salads? The sandwiches didn't have any ranch or anything either. Food was cold. Had to make a couple trips back. Forgot an omelette. This was horrible do not go here.

We will never eat here again! The service sucked when they weren’t even busy. Once we finally got our order placed it came back wrong, so they took part of my order back to redo it and then I waited so long to get it back I had to ask someone else if I could get the rest of my meal. Mind you it was the manager that took it back to redo it. I think it was more important to go back into the kitchen and converse with the other employees than to get the customers their food. This is the second time we have said we will not eat here again but there won’t be a third!

Went to eat yesterday. Waited in the front for 10 minutes. Heard workers in the back talking and messing around. Not one came up front. None ever checked on the couple tables eating either. I even tried calling and no answer. We left. Probably a good thing anyways because it looked dirty.

I am an UberEats driver. Yesterday I went to pick up an order at your restaurant in Coralville Iowa. The hostess was rude to me from the git go. When she finally asked what order I was waiting, I told her the name and she said that another Uber driver came and picked that order just minutes before. She began berating me in front of other customers indicating that this happens all the time something that I have no control over. It was very unprofessional and a poor representation of the restaurant in my opinion.

Place was empty our waitress rushed to get us seated ordered and got the check I think we were in and out in 25 minutes once again place was EMPTY maybe 8-10 tables had people in them. She never asked how our food was and my bacon was cold. Also side note they are not a participating location for red white and blue pancakes for veterans on veterans day.

Some of the food was OK. But some was over cooked. The restaurant needs a good cleaning. They had photo copy paper for the menu I guess so they wouldn't reuse them. But then they had a special menu that was laminated that they reused. Which didn't make sense. The silverware had stuff on it from the dishwasher and I could scrap it off. But the staff was friendly.

Even with less than ideal staffing the service and food were good. Waffle machine now working and we missed them last time we were there but 100% improvement. Thank you friendly and kind servers who were awsome today!

This iHop is poorly managed and understaffed. The people that work here are nice but be prepared to wait a long time, receive mediocre food, and curb side does not work even though they market it does.

We went on a Sunday, and despite a large rush, were seated within 20 minutes. Our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and arrived looking perfect! Even with a large influx of customers, our server was attentive and made sure any dietary restrictions were taken care of! The gluten free pancakes were superb:)

The food was good and staff was helpful and nice. The place looks like it could use some help. The front desk didn't look welcoming. With everything piled up behind it. The silverware needed re-washed. The place needs a good cleaning.

Wont go back. EVER!

Id give it a zero star if i could. Worst service ive had in a long time. Food took too long. Didnt serve to order. Gave attitude when fixing thier mistake. Made excuses rather than acknowledge mistakes. Got angry when we asked for the checks to be split up. Manager blamed it on new wait staff which really isnt fair to do. Food was soso. Wont go back. Ever.

Waited over 5 minutes just to get the drink order taken not even by wait staff, when we did finally get to meet our waitress she was pretty decent. The food was NOT good, really regret the choice on where to go to eat. The food was bland toast burnt. Overall was not the experience hoped for. Won't be back
