International Buffet, Des Moines IA

We went off of peak hours. The lady working was very sweet and friendly. But the food was a bit stale and limited some of it was a bit cold. The sign did warn us to look before we ate to make sure it was to our liking. They seemed a bit short staffed.

The food is great. Since it's a buffet, and self served. The place is always quite and not crowded. The only problem I had, was with the restroom. Went to use the MEN'S, but was so discouraged of the sanitary condition and skunk. No air freshener, no good smell, not white as a food restroom should be. Just being real tho!

I took my mother to go eat at this buffet, and omg……the food was nasty. They sells leftovers. No waiters or waitresses, you have to get your own drink and silverwares. I’ve been there years back and their food was still the same, nasty and dirty. My mother hasn’t been there and only reason we went there was because my mother was hungry and that was the nearest buffet to where we were. Also, I thought I give them another chance since it’s been a decade since I’ve been there, thinking they would been update. Poor quality of everything including cleanness. Not sure what the state need to shut it down. They only have one chef. I don’t recommend this restaurant. Go to another place for your money worth.

The food is fine most of it tasted good the crab rangoons no filling in them the cream cheese testing fake, they also have a fish tank in the dining room area by the buffet that was completely green

Not worth it not even that one star I'm giving it 70 FOR FIVE NOT WORTH IT TAKE YOU FAMILY TO MCDONALD'S CHEAPER AND YOU KNOW WAT YOU GETTING THERE THE ONLY GOOD THING WAS THE ICE I POUR ON MY DRINK.

Really disappointed. I dislike giving bad views, however, it needs to be said. This is a Chinese buffet. Everything I tried was cold. The food lacked flavor. I did not listen to my intuitiveness. An empty parking lot at a Chinese buffet at lunch time is a bad sign.

Honestly always go for their shrimp puffs and lo main. The people giving one stars because they don't check up on you after you pay are stupid! It's a buffet get a plate get what you want and sit down why do you need them to ask if you good or not? I prefer to be left alone and if i have an issue then I'll let someone know.

Service there is next to none the food was delicious when it was fresh when my son and I had gone there everything looked as though it had been sitting there for sometime. There was not that many people in the restaurant as it was so you think it would have been more fresh. When fresh stuff came out omgoodness it was definitely worth eating there. I would recommend this place but just wait for something fresh to come out

They've stepped up the quality & the price can't be beat. Choose your food accordingly - Different times of the day affect the quality. You might even ask for a fresh dish, see what they say so they can try to make you happy.

. Plus, keep in mind, I see people rob them triple filling the to-go containers any other place would charge double+, so it's hard for them to make any money. And plus plus, people take WAY more than they can eat and leave a Huge amount of waste on tables all the time, which is Completely irresponsible, rude, & disrespectful.

Cold food, no service, never cleaned up are plates. We had to get are own drinks. 5 people was 60 dollars very much NOT WORTH IT!

We both sat in a booth and there not even connected the bottom of booth good food fair price just a issue with the booths

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT ALL GO TO HIBACHI.if I could give negative stars unlimited I would! Unfortunately I HAD to give a start to do a review. Salad anyone? Salad bars are to have toppings for your salad. Chicken? Hmmm. Wouldn't call it that you have to chew and chew and chew. And talk about dried out! Crab Rangoons? Barf. Soup absolutely zero flavor. Had to have the lady go and fill some things that were empty cuz she just wanted to be behind register on her phone. Took her time. Once it was filled. It was so dry. Most definitely will be talking everyone I know NOT to waste the $80 going there with their kids or heck even their self. The place needs closed down for sure

In my opinion, the best Chinese food in Des Moines and all of Iowa. Only problem though, the Asian lady who owns the place doesn't like turning on air conditioning during hot weather

Five people for 72 dollars and the food wasn’t the good. The lemonade was the only good thing to drink, the Root Beer and the Sierra Mist was both out and coming out clear like which isn’t right for the Root Beer. Most of the chicken was okay. The egg rolls was just bad overall. Not coming here ever.
