Terrible! I used to see Dr Robinson at Iowa Psychology but would never refer or recommend this clinic to anyone! The reviews are true and I wish I’d read them before choosing my psychiatry care provider. They did not explain the protocol for connecting via telehealth when I made the appointment, (nor do their txt reminders). I was present for my apt and when I didn’t receive a FaceTime or Zoom link like the other clinics, I tried calling. No answer. I called again- no answer. I sent them an email and immediately received a rude response for no-showing + $105 charge. I called the next day- NO ANSWER, I left a msg for the office manager to call me back…NO ANSWER, never heard back. With so many mental health providers in the area, GO ELSEWHERE. This place doesn’t care about their patients!

Dr Robinson withheld a borderline personality diagnosis and bipolar diagnosis from me. I was put on mood stabilizers with no explanation. If I hadn’t requested my documents I would have never known about this diagnosis. This severely affected me and was detrimental to my mental health. After “receiving” my diagnosis I was finally able to get the help I needed. People with borderline personality disorder are at such a high risk. If I didn’t know about this and seek out another doctor I don’t know if I would still be here writing this now. I strongly urge anyone seeing this to go anywhere else but here. Linden point is amazing and actually listened to me and explained why I was being put on medications and what they were doing to help me. 515 therapy and counseling finally gave me the therapy I needed to help cope with my bpd. Please seek out someone else besides Dr Robinson

Absurd that you must know exactly what is wrong with yourself in order to book an appointment. I need an evaluation by a medical professional, not to self-diagnose myself. Reception gives zero cares about what one needs or at the very minimum offer any solutions.

Well I'm SHOCKED FIRST OF ALL I MISSED AN APPT. BUT THE DR PUT ME ON 4 DIFFERENT PSCH MEDS I SLEEP 24/7 CAN'T FUNCTION. THEN THEY WANNA CHARGE ME 75$. IF I PAY IT I CAN HAVE ANOTHER APPT. WELL THE DR I HAD WAS not caring.

Dr. Robinson is the best doctor I have ever had. He takes the time to listen to your needs and helps you find the medication that will work for you. My life is changed because of Dr. Robinson - he is worth the wait!

I have been seeing Jen Norton for years. I wish she was a therapist also, because she is the best mental healthcare provider I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her patients. She goes above and beyond what most psychiatrists will do. I actually look forward to my appointments because I enjoy talking to her. I can’t say that about ANY other healthcare provider I have ever had.

How can you rationalize charging someone $105 for missing a barely ten-minute virtual call by thirty minutes? I understand that a compensation fee is in order for missed appointments, but this is an absolutely ludicrous amount to charge someone over a barely ten-minute phone call. I appreciate my personal provider very much, but $105 is absolute price gouging for a service I wish I didn't even need to use in the first place. Needing medication is expensive enough without this nonsense.

I have been going here for years. Dr. Eastin was my doctor, he was great! Unfortunately, he stopped practicing. Now they won’t refill my meds. My appointment at my new doctors isn’t until next Friday. I guess I get to tell them that I try really hard to take my pills on time every day, but my former psychiatrist’s office stopped all my medication. Yay? !

My wife left a review of this office and told exactly how it was. They replied to the review immediately stating that she had not attempted to contact the office to resolve any of the issues. This is simply not true. Perhaps if the office returned phone calls and requests for meds as much as they police these reviews there would be less unhappy patients. She would have loved to have edited her review to reply but is unable to do so. I can’t empathize enough how awful this office is at returning phone calls / med requests or even just answering the phone. We’ve actually been in the office waiting for an appointment and the phone rings off the hook while the office chit chats. Perhaps a training session in customer service is warranted?

If you are considering this practice please understand that they are a business first. They refill medication with workman like efficiency. However, doling out meds does not equal compassion.

Simply put, when I needed my doctor the most the practice put business before compassionate care.

If you are a prospective patient, you deserve better, go somewhere else. If you need immediate help there is a mental health focused urgent care by Lutheran Hospital.

If you are a current patient I urge you to find a different practice. There are other psychiatrists in town. You may not have experienced it yet, but you deserve more then what this practice is willing to offer. Make a change before you need more then medication refills.

Today I had an appointment at 11: 30am that i had full intentions of making, this might be tmi but i started my period this morning about 10am i started having mild cramps. By 11am they we’re getting more intense but i didnt want to miss my appointment, & as im on my way to my appointment i started having these intense pain, i literally had to pull over & call someone to come get me because i couldn’t drive. I call & leave a message because im not going to go to this appointment in agonizing pain, the lady calls me back & says that i called 5 minutes before my appointment & asks if i wanted to take care of the $95 so i can reschedule today. I was livid, that is absolutely insane how was i supposed to predict 24 hours in advance that my cramps would be so bad that i wouldn't be able to make my appointment even WITH taking medication. Providers are amazing but customer service & understanding is lacking

Jacquelyn Stortenbecker is hands-down the BEST mental health professional I have ever worked with. I have been seeing her for nearly a year now and have always left our appointments feeling optimistic.
She is excellent at explaining different medications, how they work and interact with one another, and really does take a whole-person treatment approach. She's easily the 9th or 10th mental health professional I've ever seen and the first to look at my history and listen to my symptoms and refer me for ADHD testing.
She has been instrumental in helping me adjust to and balance new medications and diagnoses, including my sleep disorder. I am so so happy to have found her!

I appreciate the provider working with me and giving me honest feedback, but the operational standpoint is atrocious. I was never given a link to join the telehealth, so I am being charged a no show fee for something that wasn't my fault. The people on the phone lines continually make you feel in the wrong, something ironic for what they are trying to do: the opposite of this exact thing.

- Update, they addressed my concern and waived the fee. As with any business, there are opportunities to get better and grow, same with us as individuals.

I’ve been going here since 2018. Constantly put on anti depressants that never worked, even put on a bipolar/epilepsy med for dissociation symptoms. I insisted my issues were related to PTSD the whole time but my provider didn’t seem to believe me. I dealt with it thinking I was wrong. But, in 2021 I finally saved enough to see a neuropsychiatrist who assessed me finding I did have ptsd as well as anxiety. After that, my provider finally prescribed me a medication for what i was dealing with only after someone else told them what I had been saying all along. 4 unnecessary meds later. Infuriating. My provider insisted for a follow up virtual session which I missed, thinking it was an hour later than it was, my bad. However, you would think they would call to check in like all of my other therapy/doctor appointments. I called shortly after my appointment would have started 3 times with no answer hoping to catch a later time that day. No one calls until a week later now insisting on a $95 no show fee and no understanding. Very funny that a place who deals with mental health, understanding that most people they see struggle with memory issues, depression issues, and other roadblocks to getting these appointments has no considerations for that. I understand providers need compensated for their time, but $95 for missing a 10 minute appointment? I find incredibly ridiculous and greedy. I will not be returning.

I emailed their office explaining who I am and the problems I need help with hoping to get a recommendation on the right person for me to see who would be available for new patients ASAP, and all I got was an incredibly insensitive email back telling me to call instead. I have anxiety that prevents me from feeling comfortable calling and explaining my situation to someone over the phone. They NEED a more sensitive approach when dealing with people in the field they work in. It was shocking and I now have to find somewhere else.

For a mental health facility- I cannot think of a more harmful place to be.

I had a death in my family and I called 22 hours before my appointment to reschedule (unable to reach anyone so I left a message) and again the day of the funeral (unable to reach anyone again and left a message) and I was still charged $95.

I received ZERO follow up from the two voicemails I left explaining my situation. In the midst of planning a funeral, it was a miracle I even remembered I had an appointment. 22 hours before and I still got charged.

On the phone the receptionist said “so would you like to go ahead and make that payment now? ” Unbelievable.

Policy is one thing but you’re telling me without any follow up and if they had actually bothered to answer their phone 22 hours before my appointment knowing I’m burying someone the next day they would have still charged me? I don’t think so.

Dr. Jennifer Norton is amazing. She's been with me for about 4-5 years. She's caring, friendly and attentive. The staff is also very friendly and I never feel like a burden when I call

Have only been seen virtually due to Covid, but Jenn Norton has been amazing! She actually listens to what I have to say and can keep me on topic. With her help, I am finally stable without feeling sick or like a zombie.

The receptionist can never get billing correct. Charged me for a day my DR wasn't in office and for days I had already paid for.
