Vending machines - Don't expect your money back even if you call or text their #. Paper refunds may work, if there is a way to fill out while there. Needs more accountability.
A great rest stop along I-35. We stop here often and enjoy the amenities. They have a dog walking area and places for kids to play. They have several picnic tables with a little roof. The family restroom is great for families with small kids. It's big and easy to navigate. Parking is handicap accessible as is the facility. Great stop!
Iowa rest stops can be hit or miss. Some are little 50+ year old brick shacks with bathrooms that look like the start to another global virus pandemic. Others are large, younger facilities and this one was one of them. The place was clean and I mean the custodian just finished cleaning the men’s room when I got there. Wet floor signs were out and you can smell the freshly mopped floors. The place was so clean I can eat off the floors there.
