Been calling for over 5 days now, and have left multiple voicemails. No one has returned my call.

I understand we're in a pandemic and the employees are overwhelmed but this is unacceptable. I reported an underpayment June 3rd and when I called to check the status June 11th I was told that it wasn't put in. The rep advised me in June 11th that not only did she submit it but that it was expedited. I called and called only to be told it was still being processed and there is no way to expedite it. I have now been waiting 2 months and much to my surprise when I called to follow up Rich advised me he couldn't see it so he submitted another one. When I called back a week later I was told there were 2 underpayment request for the same week and was advised the worker would follow up on it and to call back this week. I asked her would they go by the original request of June 3rd and not the one that was just posted last week due to incompetence and lack of knowledge and I was advised they would go by the former not the latter. When I called today I was advised the rep couldn't see one so he was going to submit it again. I asked him not to because there would then be 3 claims. I told him he had to access a different screen. He confirmed with a colleague and called me back stating the only claim they see was reported last week. 2 months! Are you serious? The supervisors take weeks to call back. This is ridiculous!

I was told to wait six weeks for my unemployment. It has been over six weeks now. I called and was told I need to wait 8 weeks. I have yet to receive any confirmation by email or mail about anything. Maybe they need more information from me, I don't know. No one will respond to my emails. When I call they don't seem to know what is going on with my unemployment. How is someone supposed to be without a paycheck for 2 months? ! If they are that back logged, they should be open 7 days a week and hire more staff. This is ridiculous!

I have been waiting to receive any funds since March and still nothing! At this point I am livid! I am behind on everything and need that money.

Said I would recieve my benefits by an exact date, and I still haven't received. Thanks guys, not like I don't have things that need paid.

Management is unresponsive, staff gave incorrect information and then penalize me for it. One of the worst experiences I've had. Terrible organization.

These people who work here are the most rude people I have ever talked to. I called to discuss a "citation" I recieved due to another party not doing their job and Investigator "david Fox" and his supervisor treated me like garbage, practically treated me like a child, and hung up on me.

I have tried calling on numerous occasions, sit on hold for half hour and then no one picks up.you should have a Voicmail system so that we can leave a message and you can call back.this way we don't waste our valuable time on hold. I am an employer trying to help people

Iowa worforce is a joke. Because their system had issues I don't get my payment til Monday the 31st. So now I can get my boys for our Christmas and do you think they fix it nope and they are aware of theirs us. I really regret ever moving to this worthless state. If you are thinking of moving here don't do it. You'll hate it here.

This sleazy government agency denied unemployment. I was fired after 2 years of working with a deplorable boss. The management retaliated against me after bringing supervisor harassment to light. There was no fact finding, just an incompetent worker with an awful attitude. Thanks for your decision making. You're really helping grow the Iowa workforce!

Not impressed! Very condescending! Hearings are a joke.
If you have one scheduled, get an attorney or no matter what the reason, be prepared to lose. And then after that be prepared to pay back all monies sent to you. Because they pay you before the hearing then, deny you.
Now, you owe them!
Money you don’t have!
Oh yeah! Great system they have going here.

I drove all the way to the downtown area to be told that I have to call a 800 number to speak to someone about my unemployment claim.

I worked for The US Government for two years and WON my hearing for benefits yet a part time job that I listed that I work between 0-10 hours bi-weekly for can halt my unemployment benefits? !

Nobody can seem to tell me why this is AND I cannot get transferred to a supervisor for help. Every time I call I get talked over and made to feel like my concerns aren’t being addressed.

THIS IS A CORRUPT STATE AGENCY!

Called to get details on claims NATE or NATHAN might consider a carrer change rude and hung up on me while i had questions unprofessional at its finest.

This place is a joke, everyone you speak too gives you a different answer. They screw up my unemployment & then they wonder why people get pissed off. The last person i spoke to tells me i have to come to the office to show ID to prove who i am. I get in there & they have to state troopers waiting for me saying I threatened them. I call the communications director & ask him to meet me in the lobby so we can straighten this out. He has 3 supervisors & 2 state troopers gang up on me, they claim i made threats. I explained one person tells me to come with my ID & another person calls the law on me. WOW! I show them my ID ask some questions. Managers scott perkins & Brenda bouton (didnt get 3rd persons name) continue to tell me i screwed it up & my anger is not acceptable. They walked out with attitudes.then the two state troopers start questioning me. I explained my side & left. I then called Cory Kelly (communications director) asked him why they called the law on me? He told me excuse after excuse repeatedly, to the point he sounded ridiculous. I requested the directors phone number. He refused to give it to me! Then he began to tell me he was a former Marine & one of the supervisors was a Marine. I am not sure if he was trying to intimidate me or why that was even mentioned! WHY DOES NO ONE HOLD THESE PEOPLE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THERE ACTIONS!

You get transferred time after time, getting no where. You will get this is the wrong department and transferred again. Some of the numbers won’t work from certain areas so then it’s a mess and your screwed. The majority of the time they are pleasant. If you get a Meronda (who knows how you spell it) save yourself grief and hang up and call back, so rude! If you want to speak to a supervisor, good luck with that because it will never happen.

I can't tell you how many people like myself have never in all these years found employment through IWD, hell they don't even have spot labor anymore. I guess I'm not Hispanic enough or something

Funny how I work hard for a living have students loans, car payments, and everything else and that i am finely out of work and apply they refuse me (employment.) Then people next to me have 4 different SS cards and they see with one give them more money.
