One of the better places for retired people to find a nice apartment to live quiet and clean

They've been so great with my mom! We had to move my mom after my dad passed away, and this is where she chose. They have been so amazing. There are activities to keep the residents busy, there are commons areas where they can hang out and talk, play games, whatever. I'm really pleased she chose Jacob's Place and it is a secure building.

Had 90th birthday party for my mother and everything went very well. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Went to follow up with the manager to express my appreciation and the phone number listed is disconnected. Could someone post the phone number to Jacobs Place?

Here is an honest review from a grandchild of a long term resident. The reason I didn't leave a 1 star review is because as far as the residents of Jacob's place go, they seem to get along with one another tremendously and have created a community amongst eachother. Now to Express my concerns and please consider everything I provide here before choosing Jacob's place as somewhere you would want a loved one to reside. The front of the building has roundabout temporary parking spaces that are utilized by the tenants caregivers, for example, that are there to provide healthcare or by smaller buses or transportation Van's that the tenants that don't have a car or a driver's lisence use. The owner of the building cant be asked to use the parking spaces provided for the tenants which is an additional 10 feet away from the front of the building, but instead has to park in front of the building making an already limited parking situation that much worse. A week ago she backed into a parking spot bumper to bumper in front of a bus that was in front of me causing the bus to have to climb a curb to get out as I had no room to back up either. This morning she did the same thing to me and I asked her politely if she could move so I could get out, she stated that I could get out I would just have to know how to do it and walked into the building. I then also climbed the curb to make my way out almost damaging my vehicle in the process. This of course sounds like a personal problem tailored to me. Well let me elaborate then on the living situation. The units are fairly priced and the owner knowing that to be true uses it to implement a slumlord mentality against the tenants and visitors. Multiple times a year my grandmother is asked to leave her unit so they can spray for whatever pest infestation the building has that season. The elevator, be you brave enough to use it, feels like its holding on by a thread and is a lawsuit waiting to happen. And the reason this will be one of the few honest negative reviews on google I can only assume is caused by peoples fear of running into problems with the landlord as a result of leaving their concerns on here. I on the other hand dont mind taking legal action if this does happen.
