I took an old gun there that actually fires and they didn't want nothing to do with it because it was worth quite a bit of money they told me there was a lot wrong with it there's actually nothing wrong just fired the other day

I knew the original owner, and he was a pretty good guy. But I don't care for the new owner at all. I won't even walk in the store anymore. Life is too short to waste my time and money with people who don't appreciate my business. There are plenty of alternatives.

They come off more like know-it-alls than knowledgeable and helpful staff.

A polite smile now and then would go a long way with customers.

Great selection of ammo, milsurps and modern firearms. Might be the best gun store around. Outstanding service.

I went to 5 different gun shop in the des moines area to trade/sell a gun. They looked at the gun for 5 seconds and offered me $150 less than the next lowest offer I had gotten.

I highly recommend this business! The gentlemen instantly great and assist you when you walk in. The Customer Service was Absolutely Amazing! Chuck was Awesome and a great vibe! 10 stars if I could.

Mike started a nice store. The old guys that hung out at the community table got out of hand. The store was jam-packed. The new owner got rid of the loiters, rearranged the showroom floor, and fired the bad attitude clerks. Great store now with a helpful staff!

Most trustworthy place for my guns.
Moving to the area, I went to several gun shops and JLM always had better prices, and are down to earth people. I had some issues with some triggers installed by crossroads so I bought a new triggers and it turns out they were installed incorrectly by crossroads. They got me set up with great service and for a fraction of the cost. I will always be shopping at JLM first from now on.

Purchased my m&p 2.0 here. Good people great service. Even if I don't buy they never let me leave without helping me or teaching me something. Good folks, good prices, great quality.

1st time hand gun owner i have had several shot guns and rifles in the past, I stopped in to talk about handguns and Dallas and co worker was sitting at the table and Dallas made me feel very comfortable talking about and showing me a couple of guns. It's a very laid back place and staff is very knowledgable on guns. I bought there mainly because it felt like i was sitting in my living room and price was very competitive and I trusted his advice on guns. My new go to place for guns and ammo.

During my visit a couple of weeks ago I came intent on buying a unique item I'd seen a while back (it was still there.) But, I decided to take that business elsewhere as the gents behind the counter talked loudly about their customers in a.negative way.

I've never seen such crude behavior at any other shop. It's not hard to sell a firearm. Just smile, be polite and I'll gladly hand over my cash. But, act like a middle school bully and I'd rather pay double online.

On the bright side, the store itself is very nice, well stocked, and everything is fairly priced. If you make the effort to capture someone's attention your questions will be answered and money enthusiastically taken.

These guys are awesome. They helped me finish the build of my AR15. They showed me in detail what I did wrong and what they did to improve it. They have my business for life and Chuck is the man.
