Joppa Outreach reviews
16It's probably the only homeless charities that actually gives to the homeless without taking more than they give
The building itself was like walking into a time capsule, very nice original structural building
Amazing organization. Saved mine and my husband's lives many times. Spent 2 years, including an entire pregnancy homeless and they made sure I had what I needed to survive. I've begun taking donations to them to pay it forward to those still out there.
They actually help the homeless. And while more people donate to fake super churches like Hope Ministries, who by the way, do next to nothing for the homeless, Joppa hits the streets every single week with the goal of providing safety, and necessities for Des Moines homeless population.
They are a great blessing to those in need very kind and thoughtful of the one's without a home!
This place helps the homeless camping and living on the streets. Pat is an awesome man. Their volunteers are super awesome people that bring supplies to campers on Sundays. They have a list of different agencies offering assistance if wanted.
Dropped off a donation. Always impressed by the important work they do with compassion, not pity.
Great folks. Really helpful even if they don't have the current supplies they will do what it takes to help you get an apartment with the right programs.
Dropped off winter coats, closed up but a gentleman who gets support there helped me out. He was great!
Joppa has literally saved the lives of my family and others who needed it. Thanks to Pat and Marianne! Via con dios!
When living on the streets, I could go in and get warm clothes, sign up for a heater, grab a tent, a book, a sandwich and even a sandwich.
JOPPA is an amazing organization providing resources and sustenance for homeless persons. Very proud to be associated with it in a small way.
Not always easy to find it open, but it's a good charity, helping the homeless with food blankets, clothes, and running them to medical treatment - done in the name of Jesus.
This what a real Non Profit should look and run like.only taking 5% of your donation, rest going to the cause.homelessness and they do such good work
Great service to those who are, or who have been homeless. Absolutely wonderful staff, God bless them!
Sorry, I don't know much about the place. It is for helping the Homeless and offering services.
