Kavalier and Associates

I would NOT recommend this business to anyone! Jason Kavalier was extremely rude, arrogant and pompous on the phone. We asked tough questions about their policies and he denied service because he could not answer the questions.

Don’t go there Bad service.always postpone an appmt even though it was made far in advance.

This place made my depression 10x worse. I won't say the name of my psychologist but I'm not even convinced they had a degree. They obsessively pursued 1 angle of treatment based on a single book they read and couldn't even explain these concepts in the book when I asked them to elaborate. I agreed to medication (I was suicidal at this point and I made this clear) but was told I had to wait thirty days and stop taking any substances at all including GLUTAMINE. Gluatmine is LITERALLY AN AMINO ACID YOU MIX INTO SHAKES TO AID IN MUSCLE RECOVERY. The woman conducting my substance abuse evaluation had NO IDEA WHAT IT WAS but still insisted I stop using it before I could receive medication. I walked out and never went back. I was never contacted in any way after dropping completely off the radar after 10+ visits except to charge me $77 for missing my last appointment, which they did waive months later when I explained the situation.

TLDR you're probably better off seeking treatment at the bottom of bottle than going here. I wish the best for everyone and because of that I recommend that you never set foot in this place. Kavalier is an absolute joke.

Took my son here for ADHD evaluation. We saw Dr. Kavalier several times and it seemed like instead of listening he just throw medication at everything. The reason why I stopped going was I had a previously cancelled appointment they "claimed" I didn't cancel, i went rounds with their office and then charged me a ridiculous fee for not cancelling. A lot of people have been disgusted with the lack and level of care given here.

We have been taking our Autistic son to Dr. Kavalier for over 8 years. He has made such a positive impact on our son and family's well-being and quality of life with his incredible insight and knowledge on Autism. Highly recommend Kavalier & Associates.

In my opinion, Dr. Bigelow is kind, a good listener, honest, and caring, so I thank him for that. However, he wasn't a good fit for me, because I had more than just a couple quick issues that I wanted to discuss and I wanted the care to be cheaper. Also, one big thing to consider. I believe that the questionnaire for autism has faults and that it isn't fit for individuals with high-functioning autism. So, I would recommend going somewhere else in order to get more advanced testing. Hopefully in the future the test is updated (as it was last made in 2012) and high-functioning autism is more understood worldwide, but for now that is my suggestion.

Jenny west is amazing at what she does. No doubt about it she’s there listening and there to help! I love her as if she was my family.

Been going here since I was in first grade and I am now a freshmen in college. Dr Kavalier was my initial psychiatrist and I would not recommend him as he did not seek to really understand my issue and only listened to my parents which caused issues down the line. Dr Jenny West is another psychiatrist there, and my current psychiatrist, and she is nothing but kind. She seems to truly care about getting you help and is the reason the rating is so high.

As for the therapists, it's really hit or miss however it is extremely easy to change therapists within the building and so if I ever have a problem with one therapist or feel unheard, I know there is someone else there available. So I would recommend cautiously going here.

Had 1 appointment with doctor kavalier and he was extremely rude, never listens, and just suggests medication that had NOTHING to do with my mental disease or any issues i was experiencing. WILL NOT BE SEEING HIM AGAIN! They don't even answer their phones till after 10am when they open at 8am and they stop taking calls 15-20 minutes before they close at 5pm

Absolutely criminal psychiatry office. Please consider using a different psychiatrist. They will not keep your best interests in mind.

I made my first appointment there to have medicine prescribed for my adhd so that I could focus in school, and it is required to have an appointment with a therapist before you see a psychiatrist. Therapist listened to me cry in her office about how I could not focus on anything that mattered in my life and told me essentially that I was exaggerating and should try meditating instead of expecting her to just give me adderall. Left crying both times I had ever been there and the receptionist was rude to me on top of it all. Very expensive and very invalidating.

Please do your research and find a facility who cares about your mental health. This is no longer the facility I loved and recommended to others. Upon developing co-existing, non mental health related conditions, I was advised my new coexisting conditions were beyond their scope, & comfortability. Yet assured me, while transitioning to a new Adult ARNP, they would be there to fill the gap. Barb was great in assisting me in finding a new psychiatry provider (I never realized K&A didn’t treat adults). Due to my other conditions, mental health deterioration, & work stress I severely needed STD as it was all too much to handle. I mean tears, missing work, breakdowns, etc. I had a initial consultation with my new ARNP coming up in two weeks, but she doesn’t know me & my primary care doctor does not treat me for mental health. I called & advised what I was going through and requested STD filled out. I was told no and to have the ARNP, who doesn’t know me fill it out, because they did my FMLA and couldn’t fit me in. Needless to say my mental health meant nothing when it truly came down to it. Once they knew someone else would be seeing me they were done with me. If anything, that experience changed my view on the care people like me receive. Jenny West, ARNP, is amazing, kind, thoughtful, and cares about her patients. She is my wonderful & she should be recognized for her quality of care for her patients. My mental health should not have be toyed with, and if filling out paperwork for STD, which would have been faxed to them (no appointment necessary) was too much to complete and my mental well-being meant nothing.

Please consider going with another provider and saving yourself a huge headache! I gave one star because zero is not an option. This is the second occasion Dr Kavalier has refused to fill my daughters prescription because her doctor was out of the office. He claims I have not refilled her RX in 6 months and am not giving my daughter her meds as prescribed when the pharmacy records clearly indicate her meds have been filled timely. To make matters worse their nurse Trish (Patricia) speaks to clients in an unprofessional and condescending tone. The first time the issue was resolved upon my doctor returning. However, after this second instance of negligence I will not be returning to this office ever again!

I haven't been there since I was a teenager but if y'all have a choice to see dr kavalier SEE SOMEONE ELSE. He only cares about stroking his own ego he is VERY rude never listens to the patient only the parents. My father would lie to his face and kavalier would believe him NEVER NOT ONCE ASKING THE PATIENT. So I got increase in my medication all the time. I was VERY heavily medicated because of dr. Kavalier
