Kennedy Park reviews
18Had a great time 4 years now going to Kennedy Park for the Christmas Lights. It has been a great family tradition of mine from when I was a kid, and now I can share it with my kids
Love their trail and perfect camping site!
My first thought was this place to take my 4 year graduation college photoshoots as I also enjoy hiking up here as well.
We camped two nights. Clean bath house. Hot water at the showers. Campsites are close together.
Great park. It is scenic and a very quiet place to stay. Unfortunately we were down there to work in Fort Dodge, so didn't do much there besides spend our nights there.
Park is very nice and clean. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. The host is also super sweet.
Beautiful memorials, and great fishing in the area. This is one of the best parks I have visited locally and nationally.
This is a really nice park man-made with stocked finish but this problem and so that's Carolina LG and underwater plant growth they're gonna drain the lake clean it all up or refill it and restart it That'll be worse at once that's done still loved to then place it was quiet and peaceful
Kennedy Park looks amazing (even with construction ongoing)! Night&Day compared to 10 years ago. Webster County Conservation should be applauded for their outstanding & continued dedication. 5 Stars
Lake has a ton of moss on it makes it really hard to fish from shore not very many places you can even get to the lake off shore unless you want to go though tall grass n shrubs they need to clean up the shore line so people can access it better
Such a fun place to visit! The park is amazing! Then on the other side of the lake they have the children's woods with sculptures in the park and a story book walk!
Best park in the whole nasty city of fort dodge (it's actually right outside of town, which is probably why it still looks good)
Absolutely stunning they have a campground and on the other side and the veterans Park is the children Forest or they hold events such as Easter egg hunts and stuff like that sometimes a huge playground at the main part of Kennedy Park they even have a butterfly garden there wonderful to take the family
The Holiday Christmas lights were Absolutely Beautiful synchronized to the Christmas music, It's definitely a Must see this Christmas season! As Tiny Tim said in Dicken's classic tale of redemption, God Bless us. Everyone!
Open to the public golf golf course that is well maintained. Also is a public park with great hands on learning experiences is available for all ages. Camping sites are available but should be reserved ahead of time due to the popularity during the summer months.
They need to dredge the lake out or something because it's more or less became a slimmy green lake, which make swimming difficult because who wants to swimm in green slim water that taste nastier then rusty well water the trail going around the lake is a nice walk to take with a friend though or if u paint nature there few good spot I think would be cool to paint if I was any good at it I can drawl but not very good at realistic painting
This is an amazing place to camp. The only thing is they do not take RSVP (FIRST COME first served). Lots of hiking trails, playgrounds, fishing no boat motors and a beautiful VETERANS MEMORIAL PARK a must see.
Visited for an ISU Extension Tree Stewardship class. Beautiful well maintained park. Spent time in the Children's Forest learning how to identify trees. Finished the evening in a wonderful Shelter building after it got to dark in the forest.
