Kings Steakhouse & Bar reviews
17An amazing restaurant in a small town that is a must stop. The food and service were to notch. The Philly was so good and the steak was cooked perfectly. Didn't get a picture of the steak but will be back soon for more photos.
Food was fabulous, service was ok but they were busy. Used the elevator since I have a new knee. Met the owner, hope they do well, we'll be back!
This place was so good. I was in the area on a work trip and decided to check this place out and I’m so glad i did. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Our waiter was excellent. Definitely recommend checking this place out!
So different than the other places I love, and still absolutely delicious! The Rib Eye was fantastic!
The Steak de Burgo really does melt in your mouth, and my steak fanatic husband said it was one of the top five steaks of his life! That says a LOT! It's only 8oz & he thought he might have made a mistake in ordering until his first bite.then heaven.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The steaks are seasoned perfectly in my opinion (different than basic Midwest meat restaurants, which is a nice change), but if you're a person that doesn't like this (like the couple at the table next to us), then for everyone's sake BE SURE to request "no salt or seasoning at all" when you order.
* ALSO REMEMBER that the whole world is short staffed. Be patient and kind, or put in your application to help. The owners were here working, the staff was great. Some staff were obviously still new to the service industry, so help them out and be positive. We were seated immediately.
Everything was fantastic, my husband likes very few places to eat and he was very impressed!
The place was pretty, the food was waaaayyy too salty, and the staff was running around so fast like they were understaffed. The food took approx.an hour to get in the first place. But the place was pretty.
Ordered a medium-well steak got rare, buns were still frozen in the middle. Waiter came by once never asked if we wanted more drinks. Was hoping for a good experience but left disappointed.
We went on a Tuesday so was not so busy, food and service was excellent and we will be back! Worth the drive (45 minutes for us). We sat outside, great view of the river.
Sunday brunch is excellent. Great selection plus very generous portions. Friendly staff, great service!
I loved it but everyone who ate pasta had food poisoning after. Other than that, the steak and shrimp were great.
My family and I had a terrible experience at Kings and the staff did not care AT ALL. During our visit, we all ordered starter salads and our entrees were brought out before we finished the salads. (A small pet peeve, but still a pet peeve). The entrees our group ordered were most likely microwaved and thrown on a plate. The first entree was the Chicken Alfredo, it was very bland and the chicken was not edible. One of us got Steak & Veggies, the steak came out rare, the veggies were very mushy, most likely frozen vegetables. After notifying the waitress of the steak, she brought out a new one and it was also RARE! We ordered Shrimp & Mashed Potatoes, the plate we received didn’t have any potatoes on it and the shrimp was tough. Lastly, the side of a Baked Potato was also not edible, it looked grey as if it had gone bad and they still served it. Shortly after receiving the second rare steak, we waved the waitress over to our table and spoke with her about our experience. She was able to take off the Steak & Baked Potato but seemed very dismissive. We asked to speak with her manager about our experience, hoping to shed light on the food quality the kitchen is serving. He listened to us for about a minute, before he walked away to adjust our bill. We wanted to make him aware of the situation so that they could improve and perform better. It seemed as though the manager did not want to listen, he wanted to adjust the bill and get us out. I do not see us visiting Kings again.
Food was excellent! Steaks were perfectly cooked. Service was slow but to be expected when short staffed. Owner/waiter was great and staff was there to clean up plates once done. Bartender argued with owner after my wife and I saw a child put her alcoholic drink to his lips like he was drinking it and touched her straw. Must have been her son. Same child kept going behind the bar also. Other than that, it was a great atmosphere and experience.
First time I have been in there since it was the Bear. Beautiful bar and friendly staff. Didn't visit the steak house portion, but did look at the menu and will be trying that out very soon.
The food was great! Our server was curtious and checked with us a couple of times to see how things were.
Unfortunately, the bussers behavior was distracting to the point of annoyance. They just followed each other around through the tables. At one point needing to be told by wait staff to buss a table they'd already walked past more than a handful of times.
We made reservations for 10 earlier in the week. Very responsive wait staff. Food was excellent. Steaks, pasta, and porterhouse pork chop were all great!
Beautiful structure, spacious and comfortable.
Our food was very good, and the waiter was excellent. Took care of us well and engaged in genuine conversation while being attentive to our experience.
Downstairs Sports Bar with Game Room and Outdoor Patio is a fun atmosphere for all ages! Upstairs is the steakhouse. Great food and friendly staff! There’s an elevator to get upstairs if needed!
