Koru Berry Farm, Homestead IA

Booking Koru as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made in planning. For the year and a half from when we booked to the weekend of our wedding, Neil & Deda were a huge help, easy to work with, and so kind to our family and friends. They were quick to answer any question, flexible in letting us do things slightly differently than they'd done before, and referred us to incredible vendors (we loved both our photographer and caterer, both recommended by Neil & Deda). The space is beautiful, spacious, and so flexible, and the outdoor surroundings absolutely sealed the deal. Being able to have the place to ourselves to set up the day before, host our rehearsal there, and then show up the next day ready to go made the weekend SO much less stressful. We are extremely grateful to the Happels for making our wedding what it was, and would highly recommend them to anyone!

WOW what a beautiful venue! The owners will do whatever it takes to make your wedding perfect, and when I say anything I mean anything. He was out at the ceremony site removing snow from the chairs a couple hours before start time so the guests wouldn’t have to sit in wet seats. The bride and groom had an outdoor wedding vision and he made it happen! When it was time to remove a few tables from the dance floor he and his employees were ON IT. Sometimes when tables are torn down it takes too long and guests get bored and move away from the dance floor with he and his staff moving so quickly it kept the flow of the wedding moving perfectly! I’m a DJ that frequents A LOT of venues with over 600 weddings under my belt and Koru is in my top 3 favorite places to play with hundreds of venues we’ve played. Bravo guys and keep up the great work!

They hosted our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. Neil and Deda were the absolute best people you could ever ask to host an event. They are so friendly and helpful. The love they've put into their property really shows.

GET MARRIED HERE. I am overwhelmed with how well my wedding day went and a huge part of that was this venue and these owners. Everything was so stress free. I was able to really make this place my home for the day. I could bring in my own drinks and food. If I couldn’t find decor or random stuff I needed, they had it. My guests are probably biased toward me but so many people came to me saying it was the best wedding area they have been to. There was something for everybody. I’m so so so happy I chose this venue.

The venue was great with the exception that they made it challenging to get people who are in wheelchairs around. They did allow us to use their downstairs kitchen and the owners did their best to keep everything stocked and available for us. It's a nice place to plan a wedding.

Perfect venue for a wedding. The owners/staff are excellent. They go out above and beyond to assure the guests are having a great time.

Great spot for weddings. It's a hidden gem and the decor goes well with farmhouse charm. Beautiful nature scenery and goats!

Awesome event venue! The folks that own the place are just outstanding people. In addition to having our daughter's wedding there, my band has played for several events out there and each time we are impressed with the upgrades to the facilities that they keep doing. If you need an event venue, check this one out!

What an incredible place! The owners are some of the most hardworking and genuinely nice people you could ever meet, and they have peacocks, sheep, goats, chickens, horses, and donkeys to visit on top of the gorgeous wedding venue they offer!

While we opted not to use Koru Berry Farm for our wedding, it certainly had nothing to do with Deda. She was gracious in her offering and time with us and truly made us feel special while putting no pressure on using her gorgeous venue. Ultimately we opted not to use Koru simply because of the size of our wedding (under 25 people) but if we had a larger wedding no doubt we would've picked Koru. I hope we get to attend an event there in the future, beautiful grounds and amazing owners!

Owned and operated by (Neil & Deda), two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Most of the interior is hand painted by Deda making it a very unique and one of a kind venue!:)

Deda and Neil were awesome to work with in the October wedding I was in! Their venue is incredible and their land is gorgeous. I wish I would have gotten married here!

My best Friend got married here in September of 2019. The venue is absolutely beautiful, with anything you would need for a small wedding. I would recommended this place to anyone thinking about a place to host their wedding.

The farm offers beautiful views, some on-site goats and such, as it is a farm after all, and a building that provides several nice rooms, and a nice wrap-around patio.
