La Bendición reviews
14Do you want to try a delicious chicken with slices! This is the perfect place you will love it
The beef broth, delicious, was passing through and we found this place a blessing very good
Such authentic salvadorian food! Tostadas are amazing! Carne asada comes with rice and beans that are made with love! Tortillas are all handmade and fresh! This place sure is a blessing for anyone looking for Salvadorian food!
My family and I went and they took care of us very well the food was very delicious and at a very good price.
La Bendición is my new favorite restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing, and the portions are large. You can tell the food is homemade. I love being able to eat food from El Salvador and experience their culture at the same time. Muchas gracias por la comida! Es muy rica!
Excellent food! Reminded me of my trips to El Salvador and really made me think about going back.
I’ve tried El Salvadoran foods in other restaurants and they were okay, but this was the real deal.
And the atmosphere is fine… It’s definitely not fancy or formal. It actually reminded me quite a bit of the hole-in-the-wall places I’d grab a quick lunch in Usulutan. I’m guessing most people would be expecting more, hence the lower stars for atmosphere, but I doubt it perfectly suitable. I loved it.
There aren’t very many places in the Iowa City area to get pupusas. This place hit the spot! I also enjoyed the fried plantains A LOT.
It's not easy finding pupusas in Iowa, but this place does it right! They're really good!
We love this place and dine here often! They have SUCH good pupusas and the service is great!
Pupusas we’re EXCELLENT and bigger than expected and the salsa roja was the perfect pairing to them. The elote tamale OMG absolutely delicious. The extra side of coleslaw (curtido) was refreshing and delicious. Friendly, efficient, and fast service. I don’t expect to be in Iowa City again anytime soon, but this is the first spot I’ll be at if I do!
Great experience, amazing food and great customer service. A nice open area with nice seating and calming music playing. I loved how fast they made the food and how quality it was. Staff are very respectful and professional. I liked how they weren’t coming up to us every two minutes asking if we need something like most dine-in restaurants. Very cheap and they have many traditional dishes that they make very well. You could hear them in the back making the pupusas fresh. Overall great experience of their cultures food and I’d love to go back.
Authentic Salvadorian food, at such a great price that we can all that our little hearts desire, with sodas for around $25-30. Typical order is 2 papusas each and an order of yuca.
Second time ordering popusas with plantains.it's just delicious. Plus the lady is so kind and understanding.
I’m updating my review! Second time I went this year and this place just went down hill. Pupusas are the size for a child (waffle size), no taste and so dry. I also, got the carne asada main dish and I got not even a big piece of meat, mostly more rice, beans and salad. Disappointed!
