La Mie Bakery reviews
21Came here for breakfast and both the french toast and omelette were 10/10! There is great outdoor seating and the place looks super cute on the inside.will definitely be back soon!:)
I’m from KC and went here with my wife while we were visiting. OH MY - this place is great. I got a breakfast sandwich an oat milk honey latte and a few bakery items. Everything was delicious. Someone who seemed liked the owner was very present and active visiting tables, answering questions, and bringing out food. Overall a really great experience on multiple levels.
Great lunch time options for people in a hurry. The dessert case can’t be missed. Never had a bad item here
Probably the best bakery in the City, you can also dine in with a slection of ready made meals or made to order. Love their bread
Everything I've tried has been delicious, great healthy options. Not the friendliest of service but they make up with some bomb pastries.
Great food: scrambles, sandwiches, salads, breads and pastries are all fantastic. Relaxed feel and nice service.
Food is excellent. Service sub par, but not a deal breaker! A bit hard to find, and the water dispensary is warm offering no cold or chilled water. Very clean establishment, but a bit hard to pin point the dynamics if you’ve never been. The food made The whole experience! Loved it!
One of my favorite places! The atmosphere, staff, and food is consistently great, which is why I go on average once week. This a great staple in the Des Moines area!
The bakery selections are set up in kind of a buffet style, which means that you may have to be quick on your feet to grab the last scone. Everything was phenomenal! We also got actual breakfast dishes as well, and the french toast with berries was delightful!
I had the egg white, spinach and avocado breakfast despite being surrounded by delectible pastries and breads. Delicious!
I love this place! The food is amazing- the quiche, french toast, and turkey club are my favorites. And the coffee is perfect. Try the pastries! Long lines in the morning but definitely worth it.
I had called ahead an order about a week before hand. Unfortunately, when I arrived it wasn't ready, but the people there made sure too quickly accommodate me and were very polite about the confusion. Their food is outstanding and I will definitely be back.
I go every week. The line on the left is for take out and is always shorter. I only buy bread here.
Forget any other bakery. This is hands down the best place to get any pasteries in Des Moines. Tarts and croissants are magical. Brunch time it does get busy but well worth the wait, so find a babysitter in the morning and go get breakfast here.
Amazing customer service! The staff is friendly and kind! Their food is amazing! There are lots of healthy breakfast and salad choices! The fresh squeezed orange juice is the best!
Great food/pastries (when available), major hang up for me is the service and set up of the restaurant. It pains me to only give them a 3.
Their food is delicious.their business is doing so well.i hope for them to expand their place a little bit more.
I also think that its a good idea if they remove their tables that is close by the door.the place tends to get chilly on winter.dont expect to remove your jacket when its chilly outside.
Long line but well worth it. Great baked goods! You basically just grab a box and fill it fill of all the baked goods you desire. (You can also just grab a plate for one or two things to eat in house. They also have drinks and some cooked hot food options for order.
I recommend the créme filled almond roll.
Great bread and pastry, but this business doesn't honor its posted hours. They begin cleaning and putting the food away quite early, and today I found the doors locked 20 min before closing! Change your hours if you don't intend to honor them! Also, it gets very busy on Saturday mornings, but don't bother finding a table before you order- I was made to get up for someone else who had their food already. Two minutes later my food was ready but I had nowhere to sit! It is disappointing that staff are willing to put out one customer who is trying to plan ahead, for another customer who instead chooses to complain.
