La Quinta Inn & Suites Des Moines West Clive reviews
33No issues with service, food or accommodations. Overall cleanliness was okay to us though we know this is relative. Free continental breakfast was good. Hotel close to highway and overall price was competitive to other hotels around.
I always like La Quinta. This one isn’t super fancy, but it’s exactly what I needed for the night. Pet friendly. Clean rooms. Breakfast didn’t have any protein really (no hot eggs). So I suppose that would have been nice. Otherwise no complaints!
LaQuinta is our go-to hotel since they are pet friendly. We’ve stayed at the Des Moines/Clive hotel a couple of time and have not been disappointed. It is a bit dated, but well maintained. Can’t give them 5-star because they have full (not queen) beds.
Personable staff, right off of the highway, next to gas station, great walking path for dog.very convenient and pleasant
Kevin and the staff at La Quinta were so helpful when we had a mix up in our booking with a third party site - even though they had been booked solid for days, he worked some magic to get us a room and made it totally stress-free. We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff and a clean room with everything we needed (including much needed air conditioning on a hot weekend!). Thanks for a great stay, we would certainly recommend for travelers looking for a quiet, clean place near Des Moines.
Needs some renovation and updating but fairly clean and the staff is pleasant. Just needs new carpet and paint.
Older hotel. Pleasant staff. Fewer items on breakfast bar than other La Quintas. No dedicated kitchen staff on the day we were there. AC didn't work well.
The rooms were very clean, but kinda small. There was a pool hot tub and weight room. There is free breakfast that offers waffles muffins yogurt fruit biscuits and gravy and ceral. No room service, the staff was mostly friendly, except when it came to eating food on the patio. But overall the stay was nice.
We had a new mattress which is very comfortable the room was comfortable although the hotel is a little outdated probably could use upgrading the carpets in the rooms.
Very old and needs updating. We found a full soda bottle just under the bed (don't understand how housekeeping could miss it). Front desk staff was friendly and bed was ok. Not too loud at night but tons of slamming doors in the morning. Priced high for what you get.
For almost 100 a night I wouldn't expect stained furniture, or cigarette burns on things. Also the bathroom was dated, and there was a old anointing room door.
Stayed at many La Quintas. This one is clean, quiet, well appointed, with a friendly professional staff. Location is good for dogs. Lots of green grass around.
I love La Quinta in Des Moines. Pets stay free and it's clean and the beds are SOOOO comfy and no bed bugs! Everything is pristine white so you could easily tell if they were to be around. We had great customer service good water pressure in the shower and a decent waffle for breakfast. One thing I have noticed about pet friendly hotels.none have a service that picks up the poop: (We clean up after our dog but apparently a LOT of people don't. I wish they would hire a service to pick up the dog doo doos that don't get picked up by the naughty ones.
