9Great place to camp fish and hunt cabins are well kept up only thing I didn't like not enough mowed trails to get around the lake on foot other then that a great place to visit
A beautiful, quiet place to camp. So peaceful and relaxing! Highly recommend camping and day use! So may options from the beautiful lake to the pavilion to the playground! And so we’ll groomed! Kudos to parks and recreation!
Beautiful, quite, peaceful, and hardly anyone there.but this was my first time there so I dont know if on different days and/or holidays there may be more people. My kids enjoyed the playground there as well!
This park has a pretty lake and an elk herd that you can observe and hear. The main campground has full hookups and the others near the elk enclosure have electric.
Cleaners nice lake from Waco texas to here. Didn't catch any fish but still had a nice time
This gem is a well kept secret in rural southern Iowa. It's a beautiful small lake with good fishing, docks, ramps and camping. SHHHH. Don't tell.
As you can see from the pictures the bathrooms need a lot of care. It is a nice camping experience. Plenty of she if you desire in the tent area. As you can also see the picnic tables are in better condition at the RV side. And the grills need to be replaced. The showers, well, you are better off taking a bath in the lake. If you can do without.a. Shower for.a. Few days, you'll be fine. We do plan on visiting again. We just hope someone cleans the bathrooms and they provide at least one usable shower.
This is a hidden gem of a park in Monroe county. Out of the way and back roads to get there but the county has a park that rivals most state parks and is one of the best county parks I have been to. Plenty to offer here with fishing and camping and offers up some scenic views.
Everyone had a very good time. They did a very good job in planning all the activities for all the kids. The movies and all the treats they had for all the kids. The costume contest for the kids and also the best decorated cabin or camper for the adults. It took alot of time in planning and setting up for all the activities. Look forward to next year fun. Awesome job to all involved.
