Here are the pros and cons of my experience at Legacy Tower.

Pros:
-close to campus (but if you're a student you have free access to CyRide which will get you practically wherever you need, I would recommend just taking the bus)
-discount from rent because I didn't have a window in my room (I don't think it was worth it)
-maintenance could be really helpful and would complete our requests anywhere from one hour to 3 days later, but it was typically within 24 hours.
-we had a balcony that faced campus which was a cool view
-vaulted ceiling made the space seems a lot bigger than it really was
-spiral staircase looked cool
-no security deposit

Cons:
-vomit in the hallways almost every weekend (many times it would go 24+ hours before it was cleaned)
-apartment was not clean when we moved in (past tenets had left papers, including their birth certificate, in visible spots; air duct was not connected to heating and cooling unit; dirt and dust in the apartment)
-fridge constantly made clicking noises and wouldn't fully freeze food even when there was an appropriate amount of food in the freezer
-over breaks elevators would consistently stop work
-you have a fob that is supposed to be used to get into the lobby and onto your floor, however the lobby doors were never locked and hall doors would regularly break. If you live here expect there to be a lot of people in the lobby and hallways during weekends
-you will hear the people who you share a wall with and can easily hear people in the hallway (see point above, it will be very loud some weekends)
-there was a whole wall that was window which was connected to a neighbors balcony. Their entire balcony was against this window and standing in the balcony you could essentially see the entire apartment
-trash chutes would be backed up frequently
-you share a balcony with another neighbor
-rooms dramatically vary in size, some of the rooms are almost twice the size of others, your rent is not adjusted for this
-the only light switch for my room was actually outside of my room

Personally, I won't recommend living here. If you're looking to live here because the rent is cheap, you can find better places and the bus makes it really easy to get where ever you would need to be. The time spent taking the bus instead of walking would be worth a better quality apartment. If you're looking to live here because it's close to campus, I would look at Freddy Court instead. It's also a short (ish) walk to campustown and I would always walk through campus which was well lit. And there's other apartments in campustown if you're set on being there that are a lot nicer and close in price to this.

Don't fall for the "close to campus" gimmick. Management is awful, took over 2 months of weekly request to unclog a shower drain. Windowless rooms which I am pretty sure is against the law. Will charge cleaning fees even though mess is made from past tenets, meaning they do not clean. 7th floor has a public restaurant thing that makes elevators crowded, along with apartments being on the 7th floor so you are basically living next to a 24/7 restaurant. Elevators were DOWN WEEKLY, and during breaks they take forever to fix them, so good luck if you are on 7th floor like I was. They also give you a "fob" to unlock doors for security purposes however the main door was always unlocked and doors into hallways were always busted, so doors were left unlocked. People who were homeless often fell asleep in main lobby, which remember this is supposed to be an apartment.

To sum it all up, if you're looking for a place that is close to the bars, and a great night atmosphere, this may be the place for you. But if you are like almost any other student that goes to ISU, you can find options that are close in location to the school and night life areas for cheaper, and you will actually have bedrooms with windows, and an actual livable living room. My friends from out of town would never stay due to it's "prison like" nature.

I lived here because it was close to campus. There's a high chance the bedroom you'll be assigned will have no windows.
There's about 50% chance you'll be on the south side which is next to a bar that is incredibly loud because the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything your neighbor does and will not be able to sleep from the bar.

Management was friendly and helpful with letting me move due to unpleasant roommate situations, so I hate to give a bad review. But I've since learned that windowless bedrooms are not even legal and nor is placing people next to a loud bar. I have tinnitus from my living situation and that may never go away. I can't feel sorry for landlords who harm naïve young adults with their negligent breaking of the law. This apartment building should be shut down and the people who lived here should be compensated.

Lookup your right to "quiet enjoyment" if you're stuck here. I'm genuinely sorry if you've ended up in this situation. The situation with the bar is honestly traumatizing.
