Lift at Jordan Creek Apartments, West Des Moines IA

Moving in itself is so stressful. I called and emailed Alicia constantly. She was very helpful and diligent about getting the paperwork and other things done so we could move in asap. She went above and beyond and I’m so appreciative. If you are as anxious and concerned about moving as I was, just be patient and have faith that they will deliver as promised. Thank you Caleb and Alicia. You are greatly appreciated!

The worst place to live at the apartments are alway nasty dirty trash flying everywhere had bugs in my apartment when I moved in and now I have been waiting for my deposit for 3 months and they keep giving us excuses saying ow our system change we will mail it to you it’s been 3 months

Would not choose to live here again. Apartments are nice but everything else is not. Neighbors are noisy. Reeks of marijuana through my apartment due to neighbors smoking. Have had at least 3 packages stolen since I moved here in August. Kids run around through the parking lot without supervision. Management does not seem to care about issues.
Edit: DO NOT MOVE HERE. Kids running everywhere and parents nowhere in sight. Fire alarms are pulled at multiple buildings by dumb kids in the middle of the night multiple times a week. Apartments seem to be nice but constantly have Maitnence issues. It’s also nearly impossible to get a hold of anyone in the leasing office.

We just signed our lease today. Darryl and the others at the office have been amazing throughout the entire process. Very kind, helpful, and caring people.
UPDATE: after living here nearly two years, we had constant issues with unruly neighborhood kids destroying and defacing property, constantly trying to jump other kids, there was a shooting in which the detectives recommended the tenants living in the apartment that it was involved in needed to be evicted yet they're still there. Drugs galore, constant screaming and stomping and management does NOTHING to resolve the issues and God forbid anything breaks down in the apartment since it's so poorly built because you'll submit multiple maintenance requests that they'll label as finished without ever even having come by to fix it! I warn you, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

DO NOT live here, unless you are desperate.

And that is being generous. I would give it a one, but I had no major issues until after I moved out. They charged me for a “pro-rated” amount for days I was not in the apartment anymore. The person I spoke to, Alicia, stated that since I didn’t give a “proper” 60 day notice, they had the right to do that based on the contract I signed. That is bogus and underhanded. I gave plenty of notice and they didn’t contact me about moving out until I was within the “60 days”. She, Alicia, and I got into it about the billing and she said she would reach out to her superiors and discuss it further then get back to me. That never happened. Granted I wasn’t very professional at first because I sensed she didn’t want to be bothered with this, but still, I managed to have all my things moved out and the apartment cleaned up on time.

Oh, and I never received my deposit back that was supposed to be emailed to me according to the person I spoke with when I handed the keys in.

The apartments are okay the neighbors are a nightmare. The building I’m in there’s trash everywhere and the garbage is all the way by the office. I wish I hadn’t moved here. It’s okay but the kids are destructive. I’m super annoyed.

Got charged $100 for trash which isint stated in our lease which seems like a scam if you ask me. I called Alecia at the office because I had questions and all she kept doing was talking over me. The apartments are very nice though.

I love living here, the inside of my apartment is so beautiful. We have central air, our own washer & dryer. It feels & is home! Elisha treats everyone like family & always makes sure everything is good.

Love living here the maintenance is great they try really hard to keep this place nice and clean the manager Alicia is awesome they are all very friendly and nice

Do NOT move here. These people are literally vultures. They’ll find any reason to charge you a fee. You’ll be walking on egg shells living here. There has also been a couple neighbors I know that have been evicted with no remorse. Save your money for another place.

They follow LIHTC to a T and really go out of their way to help in any way possible. The office staff is super nice, and maintenance is prompt and on top of things!
