Lil' Cubs Child Care Center and Preschool, Nevada IA

My daughter loves coming to little cubs her teachers in every room as have built very personal relationships with her and she loves seeing each and every one of them every single day she often thinks about them over at home like what their favorite color is or that Ms star loves scotcheros or what Miss Susan and ms. Heidi's favorite colors are as well.it gives her a safe place to be and she really loves attending. And as a paradise I appreciate the fact that they open early like 6: 00 in the morning it makes it so I can get to work right down the road and I know that they have our children's best interests in mind when it comes to safety and weather and that they give us adequate heads up about anything that changes

We have been attending for 2+ years now. The staff are friendly. My daughter loves the activities and teachers there.

Good daycare is hard to find. Lil Cubs will end your search and your worries. The staff is wonderful! There is great communication between staff and parents. My son loves his teachers. He enjoys going to daycare. I enjoy being able to leave him and not having to worry about him all day. They even help with potty training! They are amazing!

Lil' Cubs has been an amazing place for my children. The staff is terrific and the owner, Amy, has always been great to work with. They provide the kids with great curriculum and opportunities to learn and grow.

My little one loves lil cubs even at onlt 7 mo! She lights up when i drop her off with her teacher. They take such wonderful care of her and have great communication!

Our kids are always excited when we pull in the parking lot of Lil’ Cubs! They do such a great job and the staff are communicative and positive. The environment is clean and full of vibrancy— exactly the kind of place you want to leave your children in. They have been very accommodating of our unique needs as a family and we are grateful to have such a wonderful and affordable childcare option in our community.

An amazing child care center! I highly recommend Lil' Cubs. Ms. Amy and her team are responsive to any questions and concerns. I appreciate the daily feedback and communication with the staff. The children always seem engaged in a variety of activities and numerous toys. (Staff members do NOT just put the children in front of the toys. They are sitting beside the children playing with them.) I can't recommend Lil' Cubs enough.

I have been using Lil Cubs for two years now and I wouldn't choose anywhere else. The staff at Lil Cubs are amazing - they handled the COVID crisis like champs, they have fun activities for the individual rooms as well as the whole daycare, and they are just an overall friendly and trustworthy collection of great people.

We moved to Nevada at the beginning of the summer and our kids were previously attending a center in a surrounding town about 25 minutes away. Ms. Amy worked with us to help transition our kids into her center a few months earlier than originally discussed. The staff welcomed them with open arms and did their best to make them feel like they belonged. Having reliable child care so close to home with staff that really cares for the kids is a blessing.

My kids have only been coming here since April and they have bloomed. My 4 year old is doing amazing and is learning so many new things. My 18 month old is talking more and it is amazing to see him open up and come out of his shell. I love the teachers here and how understanding they are. I am so glad that they are understanding when it comes to my sons food allergies. This has been an amazing place to work as well! I can’t thank them enough

We absolutely love Lil Cubs and consider ourselves lucky to have found a daycare that cares so genuinely for our child! The teachers are fantastic and keep all of the kids on a good schedule. We are always bringing home new pieces of art and we regularly receive photos of the kids going on walks, playing outside, etc. It brings piece of mind knowing my child is engaged in new activities and is constantly learning/growing. Ms. Amy and Ms. Abby do a wonderful job managing the staff and I would happily and sincerely recommend this daycare to anyone in central Iowa looking for childcare!

Amy was VERY rude during my interview! Treated me as if I was some disgusting individual because i won't give my daughter shots. I am NOT the first family shes done this too either She! She lies and she discriminates against certain types of children. Amy Illegally discriminates against unvaccinated children and theres been multiple families who have had issues with her regarding this!

Since my previous one got deleted. It is illegal to deny a child for any reason if that child has an exemption my child along with other parents children who I know have been denied child care by Amy. She has discriminated against more than one family and their child/children. And then lied to legislators and parents. Amy was rude, very rude, unprofessional and a liar. Although Amy illegally discriminated against My child and other children we are glad we saved our children from more than likely being neglected and treated worse than they treat other kids there. I would not ever recommend any child going here being under the care of Amy.

Where does one even start? First off this child care goes above and beyond what is expected of any daycare center I have ever been to. I have been a longtime supporter of this center, since the day it has opened. All of my children, two still enrolled, have gone here. I would highly recommend this place to any and every one. Amy does an amazing job to make each family feel welcomed. She and her staff will do whatever it takes to make a child feel safe and as part of their family. There is a great open line of communication with parents, and any and all concerns are met and addressed professionally. This center is very clean, organized, and equipped with the best of the best for children of all ages. The amount of activities they offer throughout the year with the children is unreal. Each age group is always participating in something age appropriate for them. The older children are not kept cooped up in the center all day and are often gone on daily trips with a very low, if any, cost to the parents. The younger ones always seem so happy and excited to talk about their day. This center matches the school requirements for preschool and kindergarten, all of my children have gone into public schools are the level that is required. This place even offers two meals and few snack throughout the day for all ages. Don’t like what is on the menu, no problem, Amy allows children to bring in their own lunch or breakfast if they would like. Menus and classroom calendars are posted well in advance to allow parents to plan ahead! Prices are very reasonable and fair for everything that is offered when enrolling here. I know from all years of having my kids here these spots fill quickly! I would like to personally thank Amy and all her staff for everything they do, you are all very much appreciated!

My son has attended lil' Cubs for almost 3 years now and it has been so great for him! He has learned so much and loves all the teachers. He's a kid that hates me dropping him off in the morning but within a minute from when I leave, he's already happy and enjoying the day. He'll be attending Nevada Elementary next school year for preschool and lil'Cubs handles transportation and making sure everything goes smoothly. So thankful that I found a daycare that I can afford and is so great for my son!

We are very grateful to have such a wonderful daycare center in Nevada, Iowa. The location is convenient, and the staff members are excellent. Our children are learning so much each and every day, and have an exceptional routine. They truly care about each and every child. We would recommend this center.

I have sent one child from the age of 4 years until he was 8 years of age. I have sent 2 children that are still currently attending from the age of 2 months of age. They genuinely care about our children. One of children has special needs as he has a developmental delay- they asked if they could do a referral for AEA services, and we agreed when he was 9 months. He is now 3 years old. It has been a blessing to help get our now 3 year old on track with where his development should be. Our 1 year old loves everyone there. They do an amazing job caring, fun activities, and I feel the communication is great. I feel I am able to voice concerns, and the staff listen.

I cannot sing their praises high enough. Lil' Cubs has been a blessing to my son and our family. Amy, Abby, and all the teachers have gone above and beyond for us with caring and loving arms. My son was still getting used to a 'school' environment and they patiently worked with us and our son to provide a healthy and loving environment for him to grow and learn. He loves it there so much that he asks if he can go on the weekends! We feel so fortunate that we were smart enough to sign him up early to ensure his spot:) Thank you Lil' Cubs and all of the Angels there that make it what it is:)

My son has attended lil cubs since he was 6 weeks old (now 4 1/2 years old) He absolutely loves the staff and looks forward to coming each day. The daycare has always been amazing at communicating with us and ensuring his needs are met or answering questions when we have them. Definitely would recommend them to anyone.

All 3 of my kids have went to Lil’ Cubs and my youngest is still there. If there’s a concern of any kind, Ms. Amy (owner) is quick to resolve it. When I started my first child, I was a complete mess leaving her. I called a few times throughout the day to ease my mind. The staff were great on updating me and letting me know how she was doing. Even to this day if I send my son there and he isn’t having a good morning, I call to assure he is doing okay. Overbearing mom here, the staff and Ms. Amy welcome it with open arms and update me each time! They are very understanding! Also, my son was involved with AEA. Ms. Amy and staff work very nicely with AEA staff. The AEA staff are able to work with your child and provide feedback to the daycare staff to better your child’s progress. Ms. Amy accommodates the AEA staff with a private meeting area as well when needed. My children have all blossomed going there and we have had an overall great experience. I would recommend Lil’ Cubs to all!
