Los Compadres reviews
19We stopped after the lunch crowd was pretty much over. We got excellent service and the food was good.
2nd time coming here. Took a girl on a first date and she's never been here before. She loved the food. I also like the food. The margaritas are also tasty. The prices are reasonable for the amount you get. The service is fast as well. Plenty on the menu and plenty of seating choices.
Food was delicious and good portions. Did not expect such good Mexican flavor this far north. Restaurant is clean and good lighting. We came for dinner with a party of 9 and the food came out quick. I do not like though that they force an 18% tip for parties of 6 or more and add and extra HST fee, who knows what that means. Tips should always be optional and incentives for good service.
Atmosphere and food was GREAT, loved the fresh guac made right in front of you. Service at first until we got our food, but then never saw him again, we had to track him down for bill and to go boxes.
Best Mexican restaurant in Cedar Rapids, food taste better and it's cheaper, yet still higher quality food.
I really love this place. Everyone here is so welcoming. The food is delicious. And the margaritas are to die fore. This is my new favorite.
Really great place to grab dinner if you’re driving through this part of Cedar Rapids! Make sure to Uber to the restaurant or stay at one of the motels next to it if you’re going to drink because a waiter comes around and pours free alcohol into everyone’s drinks once every 30 minutes or so. Had a great time!
Food was great. Service very good. Owner made his rounds to tables to greet customers. Very happy. Will be back.
I would NOT recommend eating here. Food is bland, overcooked, and overpriced. Only redeeming quality is their huge portion sizes, which doesn’t matter in reality because I didn’t eat more than 1/4 of the food they brought out. Needless to say we did NOT get
to-go containers for the immense amount of leftover food. Not worth your time or money.
Had steak fajitas. The meat was overcooked, and onions were undercooked. I would go again and try something else next time I am in the area.
Absolutely the BEST Mexican food around and I've tried almost all of them!
Highly recommend this place!
ALL my family loves this place, we come here often!
Please stop and eat here.you won't be sorry!
The taco salad with grilled vegetables was amazing!
My sister had the fajitas and my mom had the fajita burrito and there was so much food! It's literally the BEST in town!
You won't be disappointed!
Very good queso and chips. Their margaritas are pretty good too. Pollo con arroz with veggies is on point
The meat was very bland, the service was average, but the atmosphere is what you’d expect of a Mexican restaurant.
A great place to meet friends! The have a gentleman going around making fresh guacamole and it's so good! The burritos are so big you can share!
My best friend and I are here for the lunch buffet. We love this place, the service is awesome and they have a great selection.
As always got seated very quickly the waitress had to be told once that I wanted more ice tea. Food was a nice big plate. I didn't like my taco in the burrito sauce. Brought some home.
Pros: delicious homemade tortillas, salsa, and beans, and the staff was welcoming and fast. Cons: chicken fajitas lacked flavor, and they'll charge 75 cents for to go orders.
