15For all your Kosher food needs in the Des Moines area, this is the place! Wonderful people and yummy food.
Great food, great service!
The owner/ Rabbi is a pleasure to visit with.highly recommend!
Have never been disappointed in this place and leave with my mood elevated every time! Nothing but great vibes and great food, the rabbi and his wife are so welcoming and warm. Would recommend 20 times over!
Great food, super friendly service! Nice little Kosher market and Judaica. Really good stop on a road trip.
We were here 3 years ago. Like it so much, we came back k when we got to Des Moines from KCMO, 9-18-2022.
Cool place for deli and small grocery store. Kosher everything, 2022.
Excellent food and even greater people. Definitely check out this great little deli. The "Zaity's Feast" sandwich was especially delicious. I look forward to going back!
I have driven past this place many times and finally stopped last week, and I’m glad I did. The corned beef on Callah bread was awesome, the staff was most-pleasant and we heard the rams horn get blown! A wonderful place and experience.
I tried the egg roll today and it was so good! I usually don’t like egg rolls, but this one was full of flavor, freshly made, and the wrap gave just enough crunch to add texture.
I visited at 5 PM on a weekday. I was looking for challah bread. Unfortunately, they were out which I understand being so late. The staff apologized and said to have a nice day.
Good food and kosher goods! Stop in for great food and a quick sermon from Rabbi Yossi! Wonderful visit and authentic!
My grandchildren have not experienced much from our heritage and we stopped in after our visit to the nearby Jewish cemetery adjacent to Glendale.
The food was delicious, prepared as we waited and ofcourse kosher.
I enjoyed conversations with Rabbi.
There is information about classes and much more relevant to the topic then I had time to explore.
Best experience I could have asked for.
My cornedbeef sandwich was 2 hands wide.
It was my pleasure to meet and visit, then partake in the mealtime.
If you are interested in kosher meals this I a great place to start.
Rabbi Jacobson is incredibly friendly and will definitely make you feel welcome in the deli.great pastrami sandwiches there and the potato salad was fantastic.
The best and only corned beef sandwich.
Highly recommend
Thank you rabbi and rebitzen
It was delicious
This was my first visit to Maccabee's and I can tell you I enjoyed everything about it from the food to the conversation. This is diffently a place I would return to.
Perfect deli. The rabbi helped me personally and the other employee was kind and attentive. Some of the best pastrami and potato salad you can get, cream soda was excellent, and now I'm stuffed headed downtown.
