Maid-Rite, Lamoni IA

Surprisingly good food. We had a maid-rite (beef) sandwich & the pork bbq sandwich and enjoyed both.

Btw - definitely get one of the huge cinnamon rolls! You can split it & both be happy!

Idk what this place is but it's not a real maid rite. Must be a roadside tourist trap. $7 loose meat sandwiches? Never paid more than $4 from any other maid rite. Plus something was wrong with the meat. Two bites of a sandwich & tossed it out. Hot garbage!

The best maid-rite ever if you're in the area you're sure to enjoy the food, service atmosphere.

Only thing stopping me rating from five stars is it appears the wait staff could be a little bit more organized.

Stopped here on a road trip. We didn't eat but did spend a lot of time in the shop. There were so many beautiful hand crafted items and a beautiful selection of canned goods/food

The lady at the drive through was very rude! Not the original lady that usually is working/ Gina she is great

Nothing special. No healthy options like salads. Mostly fried or grilled stuff you can't mess up. Each time we've gone they're out of something you particularly want. Nice folks and plenty of dine in space.

Definitely worth a stop off the Interstate highway to visit and get a taste of small town USA here. Lamoni's Maid-Rite can serve up the best of generations past. I had the Maid-Rite sandwich with everything. IT WAS GOOD! Afterwards I walked around in the shopping area. I will go as far as saying this could be a destination trip to sample small town America. There are even nice accommodations nearby within walking distance. Don't l leave the area without visiting and shopping downtown Lamoni. Stay more than a Day and bring your bicycles to enjoy the walking/biking trail through town. I will definitely return to visit Maid-Rite and Lamoni, Iowa.

Sign says boasted chicken but had none to serve. I have only been able to get chicken once and it takes 25 minutes to cook. If not going to have it maybe take down the sign.

This out of the way place is kind of kitschy. Has an Amish Cracker Barrel vibe. Worth a stop for a quick meal and a walk around the store. Beautiful handmade tables!

I absolutely liked the Maid Rite sandwich. Definitely different from any other hamburger style sandwich I've ever had. Great flavor. Not a good one handed driving sandwich.

The ambiance was warm and inviting. Food was really good. My favorite was the pecan and cinnamon rolls.warm and delicious

Saw and article to try this place out. The only thing you want to try that is better than average is the maid-rite loose meat sandwich. Mega rite is just extra meat. Try other combinations. My wife got the taco salad and it was only decent. Bonus star for the Amish bakery and store.

This was my first visit. Ambiance was comforting and welcoming. Food was good and served in a timely manner. Restaurant (inside or attached to a large store) had a steady flow of business by families. My friends would like to return next time we're through the area.

Their Malts are Great. The music is good to relax from the highway with and shopping in the Amish Store surrounding this Maid Rite is Great.
