What a gem. We were there during lunch hour, busy! They have an amazingly effective food ordering system, we waited like 4 min and then we already got our orders in. Then we sad down, plenty of room and seating, within 5 min we had our food delivered to our table. Oh and it was good, really good. I will definitely take family, friends or co-workers here to eat. A great experience

Delicious, filling meals and a surprisingly wide variety of sandwiches, salads, bowls, and more to pick from. I have had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich as well as the Thai chicken bowl and have been pleased with both meals. The sandwiches are large and the bowls are packed full of proteins and veggies depending on which one you order. The lemonade splashes are also quite good!

I have enjoyed everything I have tried so far. Very large menu, and I am 3 items down, many to go. Cake was delicious also. Took a piece to go.

A wonderful local restaurant with several unique options. Very popular with locals. Also a good place to meet for coffee and conversation. Many different menu items that should satisfy everyone's likes.

This place is outstanding! Very quick service. Staff was very pleasant. I just happened upon it on a map search. Excellent peach mixed green salad and lemon cake. I will definitely be revisiting this place! Can't wait to try breakfast.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD and AMAZING SERVICE! This place deserves more than 5 stars! We found Main Street Cafe & Bakery, thinking it would be okay for a light supper. We were completely blown away. Food was super fresh and perfectly prepared. Staff were all gracious and attentive and the manager Archie went out of his way to explain the menu. We need this place closer to home! It would be my favorite place if so!

$100 cake for once in a lifetime graduation for my son, burnt to a crisp, horrible to see so many people throw it in the trash, worst ever. So disappointing. I can't add a picture to show how burnt this cake was, strongly discourage buying a grad cake from here, how you could even frost something like that and give it to a customer is beyond me.

Go here regularly for brunch dates with my wife! Love the atmosphere, the great food, and the options (both for breakfast and lunch/dinner). We liked it so much we brought visiting family here to eat. Staff is always kind and patient while we ask about the menu.

Try the cinnamon rolls! Iced coffee was great. Atmosphere was welcoming, busy, but friendly. Service was on point.

Always excellent! We eat here on average about once per week. They have a large menu and plenty of variety, from the soups, to the green bowls, sandwiches, flatbreads, and breakfast, everything has been very tasty, fresh and satisfying. I’ve ordered several bakery items and catered with them as well. They go above and beyond! Highly recommend!

It is a very cute environment. The workers were friendly and helpful. The environment and food seemed upscale. I ordered a blackened salmon salad and had a cookie for dessert. This scrumptious salad was a very good and generous portion. The salmon was well seasoned and tender. I will certainly eat here again. Note: You order at the counter, get a number, and find a table. The food came quickly.

If I lived in the Ankeny area, I would be here often. Great menu, great food, great service. I will be back when we are in town.
