Maria's mexican food

It was okay. Ordered a California burrito. Nothing that'll make me say, hey I feel like eating Maria's! If it convenient then I'd eat here again.

Fajita quesadilla was good but expensive. No chips and salsa with my to-go order. 20 bucks for steak quesadilla and soda. Should at least get rice and beans and chips n salsa for that price. Burritos looked good

Would be nice if they served chips and salsa beforehand, but this is more of a takeout place.

This bad review is mostly for the drive thru guy or the receptionist, but you know, he represents the restaurant, so I guess it goes for the entire unit.

If you are Caucasian or Hispanic, well you have great service because of the obvious. However, if you are anything other than the aforementioned ethnicity, let me tell you- TURN AROUND AND GO TO ABELARDOS for a better more race friendly service.

This is my review after giving it a chance for 5 times. The 5th time did it. As usual they ignore you in your face, murmur some Spanish look at you and laugh. I have waited 50+ minutes for an order this time (other times were 30 mins-ish long). I saw (WHITE) customers come and go. His Hispanic regulars came, eat and leave happy but there I was waiting for a delivery of 3 tacos. He happily greeted every (WHITE) customer that came and offered water for (WHITE) delivery drivers. I guess getting validation from (WHITE) customers is very validating. I left without my food, as hungry as I was, I was full from eating the cold treatment that person gave me. I am sure this business will bloom with the customer service the majority Racial customers receive.

This review is a mere warning for others who do not want to get such a cold treatment which is pretty obvious. There are other cleaner and locally owned places around that will care for you and your money and time will be valued.

Super service & Always the way you order it. Get the #19 steak burritos they always slap!

They usually only have one cook and refuses to hire anyone else. I have waited over 40 mins on 3 different occasions.
Save yourself some time and head to Abelardos two block away

I used to order food from there a lot, but last couple times, it was just a disappointment I order steak tacos and pastor tacos, and it was horrible, way over cooked no flavor it all the only taste that you could feel it was the " I don't care" taste, and it's not just complaining just because, you paying for something that you really want it's not a favor so at least try to make people feel that you care, other ways just close you store no one is forcing you to stay open, I don't recommend this place at all.

Amazing breakfast with friendly service that was quick. Can't stress how good their all day breakfast tacos are

Best Carne Asada Burritos in town!
Big burritos under $10 and filled with a ton of steak! Not filled with everything plus the kitchen sink with only 2 scoops of steak. If you want more bang for your buck this is the place for you! BURRITOS THE SIZE OF A BABY LEG! WILL be back as often as I can get to that side of town.

If you're wanting a sit down wait in your own vehicle it's great. Food is good but not worth the wait. Seems like new management the last 6 months and they are running it the ground. One car ahead of me both times and the first took 17 minutes to leave the second took 8.

So unfortunately I have a bad review for this place I too noticed with my history I come here and I eat a lot I get the same thing pretty much every single time I come and within the last couple of months I have solely gotten the same thing and it's always been $10 the lady that is in there now is very rude she is not good with customer service she charged me $14 exact same thing I get all the time now when I ran over my transactions and looked at the history it says $13.11 13.13 and these are all four items that are the same thing now when I try to call up there and ask why I was charged extra she proceeded to tell me that the prices in the menu are incorrect and she does not know she just rings up what's on the computer then call back and somebody picked the phone up and leave the phone down and never came back to it this is a pending charge since yesterday morning what should have been completed it's not completed because this lady is a scammer and she is trying to take more money off of my card obviously I will not be eating at this restaurant and again it's really sad

I'm come this place, I'm seated, people talk about your personal life. I'm stay seating for like 10 minutes they no attend me. Bad experience, im never recommended this restaurant.

Can I give negative stars? I am so disappointed. I literally waited an half hour+ for 4 “chicken” street tacos. Honestly I wanted some street tacos so bad (I drove from 2nd Ave to Douglas) that I was willing to wait with no issue. However, I finally got my tacos and I am not sure what I got I got how and tried it and it tasted like canned tuna (I can’t even eat fish or sea food) the texture of the meat was I don’t even know but not chicken, same as taste which gagged me (again I can’t do tuna, fish or anything that smells/tastes like it), I mean I vomited. I literally wasted around $13 for something that went into the trash. If I could’ve went back I would’ve and got my money back. I am not sure if it was an off night or a normal thing (my first time) but extremely discussing So disappointing especially after the uncalled for wait for what is supposed to be “fast restaurant style food”. Never again…. All I wanted was a few street tacos

I didn’t eat inside so don’t know what it’s like. I ordered thru the drive, I had no issues the only problem I had was the wait time time, I did ordered the super nachos and the beef burrito so understand the 18 minute wait time. The food was delicious. I would definitely go back and eat here again. The staff was nice and polite.

I love their food. I came to this location and the one in waukee so many times. Before, I never check the receipt after I ordered. This time I decided to take a look. Then I found out the price they charged me is higher than the price on menu. For #23 and #24, the price on both of their in-store menu and online menu are $10.99 and $12.99. But they charged me $11.43 and $13.51. I tried to ask the employee about it. The answer they gave me was the price changed. But the new price only in their checkout computer. The paper menu, website menu and the big screen menu in store are all showing the old price. First of all, I’m ok with they change their price, a lot of restaurants do that. But they should let customer know that before they place the order, not after. So for the experience I had this time, food is 5 star, the price scam is 1 star.

Maria's is our go-to for excellent, affordable, fast Mexican takeout on a weeknight. Way better than Chipotle down the street - in price and flavor! Large portions!
