Highly recommend this place for all your appliance needs.
We are very happy with the service and our new appliances. Rich even upgraded our dryer when the original choice was found to be dented.no extra charge! Delivery and pickup of old appliances were not "tacked-on" at the last minute either, as I have experienced with other businesses. There was no charge. The delivery men, Dalton and Zach (sp?) did a very professional job and were on time. I have nothing negative to write about this business. Would recommend them to everyone.
I need a repair. I've called them twice and gave them the info but 2+ weeks later and nobody has been in touch with me.
The new owners are amazing rich is easy to deal with and all the staff is very friendly I definitely recommend this place
They are great at service calls, and pretty speedy about getting parts and getting your appliance repaired!
No transparency. When I called and asked why there are no prices the person who took my call said this "cause the prices go up and down all the time". Wait what? The how can all corporate companies show their prices? And the person who took my call didnt seem to care that they lost a customer. Shame. I prefer shopping locally, however, I havent a good experience yet with any local business.
If you buy an appliance from this business they don’t service your appliance if it needs repair down the road. They will give you the name and phone number of a private service repair guy for you to call. I needed service on my Whirlpool Wash Machine and the private repair guy came and fixed it. I then was left with a healthy repair bill! I was charged $65.00 service call, $20.00 for Mileage, $25.00 service time plus the part cost. I live in Mason City same as the store.
I needed information about availability of parts for a microwave. Staff was very helpful and personable
No call, no show on a scheduled service appointment for a washer that broke after six months. Called back to see what was going on and we weren't even given an option for rescheduling, just told to call back and try and make another appointment. Washer is in warranty, you think warranty repairs would be easy money. Ended up scheduling with Maytag directly. Should've bought the washer/dryer from Zilge's instead.
I gave them a 1 star in the beginning. We needed repair on our washer. It took forever for someone to come out. Finally took my mother in law to call them before someone showed up. Apparently it’s all about who you know on if you’ll get service or not. Bumped them up to a 4 star since they did eventually get here and worked on it.
We were able to snag a pretty good deal on our washer and dryer here, they did free delivery and installation for us even though we were from a different town. Super helpful people! Our washer has been giving us some grief though, sometimes the smart options just aren't worth the trouble! Never had to use their repair services, so can't say much about that, we will use them again.
Bought new washer and dryer last year and when delivered the pedestal was damaged. (Not to mention they installed 2 feet from wall and tore up my floor transition piece) I had called multiple times and sent emails. They tell me they will contact me when its in. That has yet to happen. Washer is out of balance (no clothes in it) shakes and rattles. They told me they would look at it and re level it when pedestal comes in. Terrible service, would not recommend. Worst 2600 I have ever spent.
We bought our dishwasher and washer and dryer from this family business. They are wonderful.

We bought a Maytag refrigerator spring of 2017. The ice maker stopped working July 2020. We use ice daily. Called to request service and it took over 2 months for them to send a repairman who diagnosed it with needing to be replaced. Was told would probably take a while as everything was back ordered due to Covid. Periodically called for updates. First one was expected delivery in November 2020. Second update was that is was to arrive Dec. 10th. We kept calling for updates and the call always transferred to the Garner location (who was very polite) and got promises of "someone from Mason City store will call you back" and no one ever did. Fast forward to this week (Feb. 15,2021), called another appliance repair service on Monday and have new ice maker installed 2 days later. NEVER GOING BACK to McCloskey, and will tell everyone we know of their horrible service after the sale. Now, even the radio commercials make me mad!
Bought a full set of appliances four years ago. Only small problems. Mason city store has a repairman for larger all service work
Very helpful and would highly recommend them. I purchased 3 appliances from them 7 yrs ago. I am very happy to this day with my stove, dishwasher & dryer.
